Provide technical support in residence halls
nights and weekends. First point of contact for
student laptop issues.

Strategically located in the residence

Manages Longwood’s Network,
Telecommunications System, and Billing
Telephone Service
 Longwood owns and maintains the telephone
system
 Telephone service is available by request for
all students living in residence halls (NOT
Longwood owned apartments).
 To place a work order to have your phone
activated please contact the Help Desk
AFTER you arrive on campus.
Telephone Service

Students can bring a telephone of choice.

One line per room.
Roommates share one telephone number.
Telephone numbers are specific to the room.
If you change rooms, your number will
change.
Features include: Conference calling (up to
3 people on the line), Call Transfer, Call
waiting (incoming calls from off campus)
Refer to the online technology handbook for
instructions on utilizing the features




Voice Mail
Longwood offers voice mail.
 One mailbox per room.
 Instructions on setting up and using the
voice mail will be included in the
online technology handbook.


Each student will have an e-mail account.
 Students will receive a letter with their email address
