- Communicate Your Research
- Generate Conversation
- Findings should be clearly stated and well
grounded
- Not too much text or too little
Choose a Template
- For Research Day, posters can be no larger
than 48x48
- Typical size is 36 x 48 inches
- Templates available on the Research Day

{
Color
Avoid red or green
Create contrast
Background Color Selection
Be mindful when printing colors: they can appear
differently than on your computer.
GW colors are based on a Pantone color pallette
Graphs, Charts, Photographs
- Pictures are still worth a thousand
words
- Images should be 300 dpi TIF or
JPEG files
- Don’t just take images off the
internet!
Images from the web can have poor resolution when enlarged!
If you plan to display your
poster at another conference…
- Use the current GW logo and make sure it is properly
displayed.
- Download logos from the GW graphics web site at
www.creativeservices.gwu.edu
- Use our full name:
The George Washington University
