JOB OUTLINE 1 a) REASON JOB EXISTS Provide assistance to Beacon Reach Principal or other senior staff with an emphasis on promoting the profile and reputation of the organisation. 1 b) MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITY New Business Monitor and assess all incoming referral traffic; Provide agreed initial responses; Filter and prioritise all leads; Inform Principal or other senior person of all potentially promising leads; Establish main points of contact and follow up as appropriate; Update status at each stage in a comprehensive chronology; Grow contact database Access daily all regional databases; Refresh and update framework information; Secure meetings; Search out new business opportunities; Explore events and exhibitions; Cost and plan within budget; Secure promotion stands and sponsorship opportunities; Assess attendance logistics, coordinate, arrange; Assist with necessary documentation and promotional materials; Assist with outward facing marketing documentation inc. Duty Rosters Prepare the duty rosters in a timely fashion as required by the Principal; Respond to unexpected events to ensure appropriate staff cover all times; Liaise with staff and management as required. SUPERVISION The jobholder is directly managed by the Principal but may be instructed by the Registered Manager or a Director. All non-routine decisions are referred upwards. 3. JOB CONTEXT The jobholder must work cooperatively with Beacon Reach Secretary and other staff who may from timeto-time be deployed to assist. The work is varied. 4. CONTACTS The jobholder works with senior members of staff, Secretary and others as appropriate and has frequent contact with an external community associated with marketing and potential business. 5. SAFEGUARDING BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES Wherever the Marketing Assistant is working onsite he/she must ensure that: -The fabric of the building is safeguarded and maintained to a high standard; -Equipment is used properly, stored neatly and efficiently and maintained to a high standard; -Equipment is kept clean and high standards of hygiene are demonstrated; -All defects are reported IMMEDIATELY. 8. CONFIDENTIALITY The job holder Secretaries must retain confidentiality in all aspects of their work. 9.
