 For youth 14 up to 18th birthday who are disconnected from their family,
are in an unsafe/unstable living situation
Transitional Aged Youth Outreach Program (TAYO)
 For youth aged 16-17 who are experiencing ongoing mental health issues
and are likely to transition into adult hood
Youth Beyond Barriers
 Provides support and resources to queer and trans youth in Peel aged 12 -19
Parenting Groups
 Topics include: anxiety and depression, ADD/ADHD, separation and
divorce, alcohol and substance abuse, screen time

 Having trouble dealing with difficult things form the past
Nexus Youth Centre
 A drop-in centre where youths can hang out, meet new people, have fun,
learn new skills, find information and get help.
 Serves youths meeting the following criteria:
 Aged 14 and 24
 Requiring a place to chill with other youth
 Needing help finding a place to live, getting a job, learning new skills
or going back to school
 Wanting to discuss a problem privately with a youth worker

Arson Prevention
 For youth, under 18 years old and living in the Region of Peel, who have
been setting fires
Child Witness Program
 For youth under 18 years old have been sexually or physically abused,
or have seen sexual or physical abuse, and have to go to criminal court
to tell what happened.
Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program
 For individual up to 24 years of age living in Peel Region having
mental health problems and using drugs or alcohol.
Connect Program
For youth aged 8 to 13 years and living in the Region of Peel who:
 Could lose his or her place at home or school,
 Has serious problems controlling his or her behaviour with others, and
 Has a social worker from Peel Children’s Aid Society
 May need services from Peel Children's Aid Society
 Counselling Services
For youth (under age 18) having problems getting along with others or
controlling his or her feelings at home, in school, or in the community
Crisis Response Service
 For youths (under aged 18) having a serious mental health problem who
needs immediate help. Can call (416) 410-8615.

Day Treatment Program
 For children dealing with many mental health problems that might cause
them to lose his or her place at school
 For youths aged 5-17yrs who behave badly around others; has
problems controlling his or her feelings
ECHO Residential Treatment Program
 For male teenagers (13-17yrs) who have been in trouble with the law
because of sexual behaviour and who have a high chance of getting into
trouble again and cannot be treated safely in the community
Intensive Child and Family Service
 For children and families whose child’s age is between 7 to 17 years of age
who have serious mental health problems whose:
 Child could lose his or her place at home or school
 Child could harm others, or himself or herself
 Family is having a difficult time dealing with their child’s problems

 For students (6-18yrs) and their families
 For issues related to self-regulation, anxiety and depression that are making
it difficult for a student to function in a school setting

 24/7 telephone support for individuals wanting to talk about everyday
problems
Services Offered
 24/7 telephone crisis support for people over the age of 16 years old who
are experiencing crisis, especially involving mental health concerns as well
as their family members, care givers or friends as needed.
 For students with behavioural, suicidal, or self harming needs
 For individuals in high risk mental health crisis situations who are nonreceptive to receiving support
 Short term follow up support for crisis stabilization
 Short term residential safe beds or emergency respite beds arrangement
 Pre and post crisis planning

 Young counselling for people between the ages of 12 and 20 who are
