1. Objectives
a) Get yourselves familiar with the HTML elements.
b) How to use attributes, and inline and internal CSS styles.
2. You CV – cont.
a) In this week, you will update your CV. Your CV must include the following sections as you did last week:

Heading

Contact information
o
Address
o
Phone number
o
Email address
Education
o

From high school, university, …
Work experience
o

Your name
If you have any
Skills
o
Programming related topics
b) New requirements

You should use an ordered list for section names.

You should use an unordered list for the content for each section.

A list of links should be displayed at the top above your name. The links to be displayed are
o
An external link, WWW.TRU.CA
o
An internal link for each section so that when the user clicks one of these links, the section can be
displayed at the top.

o
Links should be separated by 5 spaces.
o
Each link should have a solid border line using the internal CSS, not inline CSS.
o
All the links should have different background colors.
In the Skills section,
o
A table should be displayed.
o
Each row should include two cells. One for a skill, and another one for your experience with it.
o
The text should be aligned at the center using the internal CSS, not inline CSS.
c) Old requirements in the last week


Your CV should include
o
At least two different text colors
o
At least two different background colors
Each section should use the title attribute so that when the mouse moves over the section, the section
name would be displayed.

Sections should be separated by using horizontal lines.

Bold text for section headings.

Italic text for address, phone number, and email address.

Your name should be aligned at the horizontal center.

At least one link should be included, e.g., TRU.

At least one image should be included.
d) You should use a different file name for this week work, so that your last week assignment could be properly
marked.
e) Here is an example CV. (A bit different from the above requirements.)

3. Assignment
a) You will be given roughly 1 assignment or 2 assignments every week to help you understand all the topics in the
lectures.
b) Submission

For this week assignment, you just need to send me the URL of the web application on cs.tru.ca, not the
file, in 2) by email.

The URL of the web application, not the file itself

You would better to use always a different file name from the previous assignments.

Please include the course number in the email title so that I can easily classify the submitted
assignment.

Due: 11:59 PM, January 27, 2015. Any late submission will not be accepted.

Total marks: 10

You should not update the application after you submitted. The information of any update of a
file/directory will be left on CS, and I can check the last update date and time.

The evaluation will be usually one of pass, half-pass, and fail. Most incomplete applications will get fail.
