Design and development of spreadsheet and database solutions employing analytical techniques on large data sets to produce quality information. Ethical considerations of information management. Having successfully completed this course, the student will be able to: Implement fundamental Business analytical techniques using spreadsheet and database tools on large data structures. Explain the importance of Business Intelligence in today’s data-driven business environment. Describe how basic information systems concepts support the production of quality information for business decision making. Discuss the importance of system design and the role of the business professional in the development of information systems. Identify ethical issues related to the collection, storage and processing of data as well as the production and distribution of information.
