Grant Application for Golden Grid Solutions FIRST Assessment Grant Description This grant is presented as an offering directly from Golden Grid Solutions, Inc. (GGSI). It is intended to help developers of off-grid and thin-grid projects evaluate and then implement renewable energy with battery storage as an attractive alternative to diesel electric power. Qualifying Projects The FIRST Assessment is intended for commercial scale (50KW – 250KW) or industrial-scale (250KW – 10MW) projects to provide off-grid electric power using renewable energy sources plus grid-scale batteries in place of more traditional power sources such as diesel generators or highly prized grid power. The general approach is to minimize diesel fuel or grid consumption but not to replace it outright since you always want your generator or grid connection there for “bad renewable periods”. Grant Inclusions This grant covers all the GGSI costs of a FIRST Look and, if the project qualifies, a full FIRST Assessment modeling, analysis & report. A FIRST Assessment is a comprehensive study into the functional and financial feasibility of a project, which might take advantage of renewable energy coupled with energy storage batteries. The output will not only give deep insight to the project client on the project viability, but also provide a basis for obtaining quotes and financing. Please see the FIRST Assessment brochure at www.goldengridsolutions.com for more details. Grant Exclusions The grant does not cover the costs of any physical hardware, other services not mentioned herein, nor software tools. Applicant Qualifiers The applicant must be an authorized representative of an existing organization with the commitment and financial credibility to engage in a project. This includes project owners, planners, installers, contractors and anyone else seriously engaged in commercial or industrialscale off-grid or thin-grid energy projects. Evaluation Process Golden Grid Solutions (GGSI) will evaluate each application on its own merits as to its appropriateness for a FIRST Assessment and the project in general. Notifications A GGSI representative will be in contact with you regarding your application, and its status. Implementation If the application is accepted, GGSI will schedule a FIRST Look analysis at its earliest convenience. © 2014 Golden Grid Solutions, Inc.
