2014 Objectives
Goal:
Implement strategies to create an engaged and diverse
membership.
Objectives:
• Increase awareness of NYONE through useof social
media
• Ensure regional involvement in website and develop
measurable monitoring system.
• Enhance and implement membership marketing
program to include an incentive program.
•Conduct an outreach campaign to non-hospital
populations.
• Committee to develop banner ads and explore
connections to other sites.
• Post all NYONE position papers and selected AONE
documents with links to documents.
• Maximize use of the website to communicate research
and best practices.

Restore Membership to 850
Objectives:
• Each region challenged to increase participation on
committees
• Expand recruitment materials to show value to broader
audience
• Connect with CEOs to communicate membership
benefits including certifications after review course.
• Implement an incentive program for recruitment
• Implement 12 month rolling membership year
• Broaden membership by marketing to specific groups:
a) Home care & ambulatory settings
b) LTC and hospice
c) Educators

• Improve retention rate of existing members to 95%
• Develop mechanism on regional basis for leadership

• Conduct magnet education stressing magnet qualities
• Programming for multiple regions through sharing
• Develop mechanisms for regional succession planning
by targeting a minimum of one new CNO to
participate.
