Chapter 1 System Overview
1.1 Products Description
This manual introduces HDPOE Camera setting and WEB operation
HISI HDPOE Camera use CMOS image sensor combined with the
latest network video encoding technology. It offers user a set of high
resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio and low intensity of illumination of
real-time image acquisition system. It is suitable for buildings, shopping malls,
airports, warehouses, streets and other urban situations.
This series of POE Camera uses the advanced image processing
technology, support for h. 264 and MJPEG double coding method, support
three stream, make customer can choose any one for storage or real-time
browsing, The user can through the Web interface camera with the mouse
operation; Intelligent monitoring plan can be performed through the
management platform and storage strategy; Convenient SD card front
storage. When the alarm occurs, or network anomalies it can automatically
record. When processing video browsing, it can process record by hand. To
provide higher security to the system,this product support QoS services, to
provide users with better quality of video transmission and service.
1.2 Product features
HDPOE Camera, the type, the main performance characteristics also
have difference. HISI series main characteristics are as follows:

Provide perfect network monitoring and transmission
The HD POE Camera directly through the RJ45 adaptive 10 M/100M
network interface access networks. It supports a complete TCP/IP protocol
suite (TCP/IP, ICMP, UDP, HTTP, SMTP, RTP, RTSP, SNMP protocol),
Adjustable bit velocity and the POE Camera frame transmission rate,
meeting the demand of the monitoring systems. System Settings can set the
date, time, information, OSD information, and save the pictures.

Flexible adjustment on color saturation, hue, contrast ratio and screen
luminance.



Can be set up through the web page menu and audio alarm function
With motion detecting function, set four motion detecting areas.
Support multiple alarm response methods, such as email, FTP
upload, audio, and relay output
The HD POE Camera uses an encrypted TCP/IP protocol. It offers

Please set the network parameters after login.

More than 2 IPcamera cannot have same IP address. Otherwise, it
will result in IP conflict wherevideo can not play or the images will be
intermittent.

Chapter 2 Camera Setup Interface
2.1 Installation Notes
1. Must keep the item off being dropped and strong percussion.
2. Do not expose the item under the sun or direct light, which will
shorten the lifespan of the image chipset.
3. The operation temperature should not be over122F(50℃) or under
14F(-10℃), and not in high humidity.
4. When ambient light is too dull, the image will notbee clear, it’s good to
use auxiliary lighting device.
2.2 Tail Circuit

As the picture shows, pictail is composed of 1*RJ45 plug and 1*DC
power plug, which connects to network and DC 12V power respectively.

CHAPTER 3IE Setting
User needs to login to the POE camera via browser using PC, and set
camera parameters with IE, which will provide best video performance, or set
other extended function. Minimum Requirement IE setting:

IE version: Internet Explorer 6.0 and above;

Must install
ActiveX plug-in and the video and picture browsing
software supporting Direct 9.0c;
3.1 Device Connection
Connecting camera to PC with network line, or connect the network of
PC and ping camera IP address(default IP address: 192.168.1.18), to check if
they are connected or not.
Note: Please check powersupply,make sure network cable is securely
connected before connecting to the power.
3.2 IE setting
HD POE Camera can view image and video via IE, HCMS, and NVR.
You need to change IE security level when using IE to view image.
So, download and enable Active X, otherwise it cannot view image
orvideo normally.
1. click IE menu bar “Tool”→“Internet”→“safety tab control”

4. Select “Enable” or “Prompt” for”Download unsigned ActiveX controls”.
In order to avoid prompt pop up menu, you can select “Enable”.
3.3 Set up plug-in
The processes are as below:
(1) Download control
First, log in the website with ID and password “admin”(please refer 4.1 for
login procedures), click the link to download the ActiveX control, and select
“Run” button in the pop-up box, then Setup-IPC Box will pop up.

Setup ActiveX as per the dialog box, then refresh website to view video.

Notes:
1. Security setting of Internet area, it’s better to enable all the options of
ActiveX control and plug-in.
2.If you have trouble setting up Active X plug in as above step (1)& (2), i,

please download it from our website(www.immartusa.net) to set it up.
3. If the operation system is Microsoft Windows 2003, if it still cannot
view video after setting up ActiveX control successfully, please enable
hardware acceleration of your computer.
Now preparatory work for IE viewing image is done.
Chapter4 WEB Operation Guide
This chapter mainly introduces WEB general setting and operation of IP
POE Camera.
4.1 Register
The system will enable after power is on for 45 seconds, open IE and
input IP address of camera, default IP is http://192.168.1.18(note: default
subnet mask is:255.255.255.0; default gateway is: 192.168.1.1. Please set
up IP address of local PC before register to make sure they can ping.).
The log in interface will appears as shown belowpicture4-1-1:

If it’s the first time to run the software, please log in with default user.
Default user is admin (password: admin); after inputting user name and
password, click ”OK” to enter to main interface.
Click “cancel” to delete user account.
After login successfully, it will enter to main page.

On the main page, it includes three parts mainly:
 Viewing: setting type, size, display mode, image color and
illumination on the live video.
 PTZ: control rotary direction and set horizon speed and vertical
speed of the PTZ camera;
 Setting: set parameters of the camera; system, network, video,
audio, PTZ, alarm, user, and log information.

 Shortcut button: includes screen shot, video record, audio in and
speaker out and language setting.
4.2 Browsing
4.2.1 Video Browsing
Click “video browsing” button to enter video preview interface and set
video type, video size, display mode, image color and illumination.

4.2.2 PTZ Control
This mode is for PTZ camera only;Can control the camera aperture,
focus, zoom and rotational direction and the horizontal, vertical velocity。

4.2.3 Common shortcut icon

Commonly used function can set the camera quickly, photo path video
storage path follow the settings and taking photos and videos(4.3.5 The path
to save the)。
Snapshot images to IP address information and time information equipment
as the file name to save. For example, the file name:

address for the 192.168.1.18 device, taking pictures of the time is 2013 08
months 06 twenty-two thirteen 25 seconds 125 milliseconds.
4.3 Setup
Setting: view or change the camera parameters; system, network, camera,
video& audio, PTZ function, alarm, record, user management, and log.

System: to show the camera system information, time and the
maintenance, upgrade status and other operations.
4.3.1.1 System information: system initial interface displays: system
configuration information, such as basic information, network configuration,
alarm settings, NTP settings, set the H.264 parameter of MJPEG video, video
settings.

bit rate, I/P rate.
The MJPEG parameter setting: resolution, frame rate.
4.3.1.2 Time
Set Time zone and NTP server information.

Select a time zone from the drop-down list and click "Save" button.
The default setting is GMT+08:00 Greenwich mean time. If your area is
enabled for daylight saving time, please tick "according to automatically
adjust clock for daylight saving time" option.

4.3.1.3 Maintenance
Advanced setting includes camera software upgrade, restore factory settings,
and system reboot.

Firmware upgrade: To updatePOE Camera firmware, click the browse

Select the IFU file from the folder update, and upload.
After the upgrade, please restart camera.
Restore factory settings: the POE Camerahas online reset function which
changes camera settings revert to factory settings, providing great
convenience for the customer.
You have option to keep current IP address
by check off the box next to Keep current IP unchanged. If you reset without
checking off this box, IP address will change to the factory default value
which is: 192.168.1.18.
System reboot: click the "reset" button, the system to restart. System
startup time is generally about 120 seconds. After 80 seconds Webpageis
closed.
4.3.2 Network
The network parameters of camera settings, including Network、FTP、
SMTP、802.1X、QoS、IGMP、DDNS、PORT、TUTK、PPCN。

DHCP: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, is a protocol of TCP/IP cluster,
the main network is used to assign dynamic IP client. The choice to open the
camera IP address, subnet mask, cannot modify, automatically assigned by
the host. Select off, you need to set the network parameters, need to ensure
that the IP address of the gateway address in a network segment.
WIFI: support for WIFI camera, to search SSID and display the WIFI
connection state.
FTP is an application layer protocol which let you upload video frame by
frame to your designated ftp server. The IP camera support alarm triggered
FTP upload function. In FTP setting interface, set the server address,
username and password. Then in the alarm settings, activate the
corresponding FTP alarm, which will upload pictures to the FTP server.

SMTP: SMTP set up let you send alarm notification to the email address you
designated.

Addresser:Set the sender email address.

User authentication: Open or close the authentification function. Here
should be set according to the requirements of the mail server
authentication.

User name: Sender’s name,

Password: Set the sender password.

Receiver:

Copy to: Set the cc email address.
The recipient's email address.
Note: This version of the sender's name and password settings without
restrictions.
Set up, click "Settings" button to make the Settings to take effect.
【When in the alarm set 】 chose "mail" approach, the system will set in
according to the SMTP to send E-mail.

QoS: Quality of service is a kind of network security mechanisms used to
solve the problem of network delay and prevent hacking.
4-3-9 QoS setting
IGMP: A multicast protocol in Internet protocol family and used in IP host
report to the main router in the immediate vicinity of their group members.
4-3-10 IGMP setting
DDNS: The user's dynamic IP address mapping to a fixed DNS, every
time the user to connect to the Internet client program will pass information to
the dynamic IP address to the host is located in the service provider on a host
server program, the server program is responsible for providing DNS services
and realize the dynamic DNS. That means DDNS capture every time the user
changes the IP address, and then corresponding with the domain name, so

that other online users can communicate through the domain name.

Backlight compensation: Also known as back-light compensation divide the
image into several different areas and exposure separately. Backlight
compensation can provide the ideal goal in front of a very strong background
light exposure.
Wide dynamic:Wide dynamic range (WDR) describes an attribute of a
camera that can record greater scene details, from shadows to highlights
than normal.

Pseudo color elimination: eliminate the texture interference color.
Penetrating fog function: the advanced algorithm to penetrate the fog, also
have good clearness in rainy day.
Shadow correction: improve the brightness of the dark part.
Distortion correction: improve the lens distortion.
Digital image stabilization: in the circumstance of image dithering, it has a
certain image stabilization function.
Exposure Settings: camera exposure modes, the infrared lamp startup,
scene, gain setting.

Exposure mode:Scene mode or monitoring mode(commonly used);
Manual mode: Manual adjust exposure parameters;
Shutter mode: video with fast moving objects in the environment.
Scene Selection:Indoor can eliminate indoor lights flick phenomenon, it can
eliminate outdoor detonation phenomenon.
Maximum gain:Make the gain of amplifier circuit automatically adjusted
according to the signal intensity of the automatic control method.The higher
the gain setting, the higher the brightness in the evening, it can be adjusted
according to actual effect, high gain will make the dim picture.
Shutter speed:Adjust the camera exposure time of image acquisition, the
greater shutter value, the greater the image acquisition, the better image
quality, the higher the brightness.
Manual gain:Manually add the camera amplifier gain, only in manual mode
can be adjusted.
Color black switch: Automatic control According to the camera to capture
video rays then switch over color and black mode automatically;
External control: According to the infrared lamp photosensitive resistance
control the color turns black;
Fixed color/black:
To fix the image into a color or black and white.
Switching period: the time interval by the switch to the black color;
Image color:Image color mode has three options: bright-color, standards and
cool color to move. The user can adjust the mode according to demand.

HLC: After strong inhibit image input, it cause too bright or image brightness
big gap.
Exposure compensation: Set up light brightness, adjust the overall brightness
of the image.
Effect setting:Set the image sharpness, brightness, contrast and saturation
of the camera.
4-3-19 Effect setting
Acutance:Sometimes called the "resolution",it is reflects the image plane
definition and an index of the image edge sharpness. Dispatching sharpness,
the contrast of the image plane detail will be higher and clearer. But, it doesn’t
mean the higher sharpness, the better. If the sharpness is set too high, the
video is susceptible to distortion and dazzling.

Brightness:The luminous intensity on unit projection area increase
brightness which can improve the image quality of the overall picture. Too
high brightness setting lead to images lack of transparency.
Contrast:Contrast is very critical for the visual effect, in general, greater
contrast, clearer image, color more bright; lower contrast, may make the
picture grey.
Saturation:Degree of bright color, so-called the purity of color. The bigger
color composition, the greater the degree of saturation, the smaller color
composition, the lower the degree of saturation.
3Dnoise reduction : The intensity of 3D noise reduction , the stronger
reduction , the less noise at night, and the corresponding image resolution
will loss.
White balance:For white balance, no matter in any light, it can keep the white
object reduction as white color.

White balance:It can be optional automatic, manual, sunny, cloudy,
incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp and odium lamp.
Restore default:Repair of camera parameter settings and click restore to
factory default settings.

4.3.4 Audio and Video
Audio and Video:Set the camera audio, video, OSD, text, privacy area, save
path.
4-3-22 Audio and Video setting
Stream type: Main stream, MinorStream, MJPEG
Resolution: 1920*1080、1280*1024、1280*960、1280*720、640*480.etc.
Frame rate: It is the number of frames per seconde transmitted by the POE
Cameras. If the frame number much bigger, the imagine is more coherent,
but will reduced the function of CPU handling other functions. If the frame
number is smaller, the image is more interrupted, but CPUis able to handle
more functions. Recommend setting: NTSC: 30;PAL: 25

Rate control: Variable bit rate—constant imagine quality, network bandwidth
is sufficient.
Stable rate— Image usess the fixed bandwidth for transmission.
Code rate limit:choose 512K、1024K、2048K、3072K、4096K、5120K、6144K,
the higher code rate will occupy more resources and the picture quality is
better. It is usually use 720P/2M 1080P/4M under the fixed camera condition.
I/P Rate: is the rate between I frame and P frame, I/P rate is higher; the data
rate is smaller. Recommend setting: 15
Text overlay: Camera can display text, time, date, expressed in xy
two-dimensional coordinate position.

OSD setting includes 3 types: text OSD, date OSD and time OSD.
Text OSD: It can set the title of display, display position, open or close text
display.
After typing in the frame of “text”, the text content is able to display 32
characters.
Coordinates X and coordinates Y are the coordinate location which
relatives to the top left corner of the image title zero benchmark. Coordinates
X and coordinates Y can be any whole number between 0~99.
After setting the content of text and coordinates, choose “display”, then
click the setting as below, the text will be displayed on the RVC.
Date OSD: Sets the date format, display position, open and close date
display.
Time OSD: Sets time display position, open and close time display.
Motion detection: Uses for motion triggering on unattended video
surveillance and automatic alarm.

Privacy area: Set privacy area that will be hided from the camera view.

The POE Camera supports the privacy area function; the operator will
not see designated location in the monitor area. According to the MASK
setting, covering the sensitive area of the camera view, the viewer can not
see the sensitive areas.
You can set up 4 motion detection areas. You can use the mouse to drag
each region.
Choose “turn on” button and then it will start the privacy function. You
can set up the private area coordinate, and click “setting” button to make the
setting take effect.

The default folder for picture is C:\IPC_PlayerAX\Pictures.
The default folder for video is C:\IPC_PlayerAX\Video.
You may change the default folder to your preference.
For pictures, you can chose between jpg and bmp file type.
For video, you can choose avi and ftv file type.
Audio: DVR audio parameter setting for type and volume.

4.3.6 Alarm
Alarm: Alarm 1 road setting, optional open circuit or ground connection.

This POE Camera support 1 road semaphore alarm input, the user can
set alarm input for grounding or open circuit.
Alarm output associated: setting alarm signal transmittal mode.
Local associated: Local type of alarm, only local alarm output. The
default for local associated.
Network associated: Alarm signal network mode.
Attention: this function in conjunction with digital video surveillance
management software, such as :HCMS. If chose network associated, the
user should set the alarm server IP to be HCMS server IP address.
Regarding the setting method, please refer to HCMS manual.
Alarm server IP: setting alarm server IP address
The user can set up the corresponding alarm respond mode of every
road semaphore alarm input or every motion detection alarm: can choose
alarm output 1(if it was network associated, alarm output 1 is invalid), send
e-mail, FTP upload picture, and video etc. After setting please click “set”
button, and make the setting take effect.
4.3.7Video
Video: Local SD card camera video control and viewing, it includes two tabs,
parameter setting and video playback, this POE Camera maximum support
32G SD card video recording.

Parameter Setting
SD card is full: Overwrite the video or stop recording. Overwrite video
means when the SD card is full, the newest video will be saved over the older
video automatically; stopped recording means when the SD is full, video will
stopped recording automatically.
Manual recording control: Controlled manually start and stop recording,
optionally start and stop.
Network anomalies automatic recording: when the control network
stopped, you can choose whether open automatic recording, optional start or
stop.
Check the total Capacity and the used space of SD card by Peripheral

Management, and can perform formatting on SD card, when you pull it out,
please click on the "Uninstall", otherwise the data will be lost. Video playback

Search videos: set the starting and ending time of recording, and then
click the search button. The footage within this time period will be shown in
the video list.
Download the video: video files that are stored in the SD card can be
downloaded to the local PC. In the video list, select the file (via the keyboard
"Ctrl" key or the "Shift" key for video in the list to choose more than one), then
click on "Download selected videos" button, go to the download page.

Download Catalog: download files in your local store path. If you need to
reset, click the "Browse" button.
AVI/H.264 dropdown box: the video format of the downloaded file can be
converted.
Click on the "start download" button, the files in the list will be ready to
download.
The download progress will display the file size and the progress in
percentage of download. Ifcomplete, will show as “100%”, then status show
“completed”
Click the "Open Directory" button, you can go into the download directory,
and locate downloaded files.
