Research proves that this is a profitable business and will be the next big thing in this type of business. This type of business is online as much of the businesses today that people start all the time. It is a relatively easy business to start and run as it takes little or no time to set it up and get it running. This business does not need a physical location which eliminates the overhead that normally comes when opening a new business. Research stated that in a beauty salon it would bring in an extra $2000 monthly if they sold hair weave to their own clients. Just imagine if you are selling to the women before they get to the salon, that would be so much better and now they are prepared when they get there to get their hair done. They no longer have to go to the salon and find out if they sell hair and then go to the store and come back to the salon to get their hair done. They are able to cut out the middle man and go straight to the source, so to speak. This is a good startup business as it appeals to all women and the target market is very wide as well as discussed in the report. One is unable to segregate themselves in this niche as it appeals to a variety of people. Further research has lead one to believe that even men will buy it for their women or for themselves, which gives you a wider customer base in this market. This business is very profitable as long as it is setup properly and watched carefully as not to get to cocky when opening this type of business. A business person would be able to satisfy the demands of the current market as it can be ordered and then delivered to your customer. One can also place an order through the distributor and then have it directly shipped to your customer. Company Description This is a hair weave company that will be selling online to consumers in the beginning. This is a startup company that will be run online when it starts. I will also sell one on one as there will be people who just ask about the hair and where did I get it and things of that nature. The company will be based out of Orlando, FL and currently has one owner. I am trying to get consumers to purchase my hair weave online versus going to the store. Situation Analysis The mission statement of my company is to be the industry leader in hair weave distribution. Remy A La Mode will lead the marketplace as we will have personalized service tailored specifically to our customers. Our packaging will be different from the rest as we will be using creatively decorated boxes that are made by me or my decorator. We will be checking in with our customers from shipment to after you receive your package. My goal is to make people feel beautiful and boost self esteem as well as get lifetime customers. My company will be teaching women how to love themselves enough to spend money on themselves and not have any cognitive dissonance regarding their purchase with my company. Currently there is plenty of competition in the market that sells hair extensions. Everyone has different styles and colors available for their customers at all different prices. What will set me apart from the competition is the customer service that my customer will receive from my company. I also do not charge shipping as I do not see a lot of companies out there doing this for their customers. I will also be sending samples of the hair for less than one dollar. Customer Analysis My market is all women who wear hair weave or extensions. My target market is minority women who are fashion centric. Women who like name brand things will definitely buy this hair as it is a well known name brand. Women of middle to upper middle class who are women of color are in my market. Women of any age will wear hair weave, sometimes as young as 10 years old. Women who think of themselves as more than just a pretty face, women who take their whole physical appearance serious are the women who will purchase my hair, and keep purchasing my hair. The demand in this market is never steady as you can never know how many people will be buying or wearing weave on any given day. There are various women who suffer from hair loss which lowers their self esteem & respect for themselves. I wish to elevate that out of their lives and enriching it for them so that they feel beautiful again. Women who buy this hair all normally have the same outlook on life that they want to feel a different way than how they feel every day. Women who like individuality and originality, also women who want to have a different hair style but do not wish to physically change their hair. Hair weave gives you this option and does not mess up your natural hair. Hair weave can make you feel like a different person each day that you wear it and these are the type of people who will buy my product. The only thing that I feel will deter people from purchasing their hair from me is that I will be a brand new business that they have not heard of before, however I will have a product that they are familiar with in the market. Competitive Analysis Many companies are selling hair weave and many persons are selling it as well. The list is very long already in this market. The MLM company is called Micore International where they pay you to wear their hair & you sell it at the same time. They do have a good thing going but they are a MLM and people are very scared of them and their pyramid schemes so that is deterring customers from them even though it is cheap to join. I have seen several businesses on Instagram selling hair and their prices are very high for hair. Some of their prices are the same as in the store, so why not go to the store and buy it instead of waiting for it to get shipped to you. I do not see this being a problem for me in the competition market as I will distinguish my company from the rest with customer service, packaging, and a name brand that everyone knows and loves all ready. This will be where majority of my business will be conducted until I branch out to the beauty salons and stores.
