SPEAKING (10 min)

The teacher shows the photos of the different places and asks the students to tell what they see in each photo and if they can say where these places are.

After talking about the photos, they can share their experiences in abroad briefly.

entertainment resort in the world. The place is full of amusement parks, hotels and restaurants due to the large tourism sector. Then its coastline offers hundreds of miles of sandy beaches for that perfect summer vacation.

Sri Lanka Sri Lanka is like a second heaven. The country is full of lowlands and evergreen forests. In the southern part, a must visit is the Yala National Park. The species of birds and animals that you would get to see here will leave you spellbound. Sri Lanka is also well-known for its scenic great number of beaches.

Thailand Thailand has it all, busy colorful streets, beautiful beaches, sky scrapers, shopping malls, the best in nightlife and a few amazing worship structures. So it is everything that you can get and experience in this country. Thailand is home to some of the world most renowned spas and health/rehab facilities. With a large forest cover, elephant trekking is also something that is worth experiencing.

Venice It has an amazing history and is noted for its outstanding architecture. There are many old churches that are worth visiting. San Marco square is right in the center of the city and the place to be if you want to have a good time.

The Palazzo Ducale is also a must-see structure, simply for its breathtaking waterfront. Venice is filled with many art galleries as well. The Grand Canal is a long canal that runs through the city. This is referred to as the most beautiful street in the whole of Venice. The city is made up of 117 tiny islands and amazingly linked by 400 bridges over 150 canals.

Since students studies the superlative form in earlier levels, the teacher just reminds some basic rules and spellings. SPEAKING (20 min)

Students will form groups 3 or 4. It will be better if you form the groups randomly. Otherwise use of native language is quite possible or good friends can come together and chat about different things. When the groups are formed, they note down all the information about the video they have watched. for the classrooms where internet connection is possible students may also search for other interesting details about the resort and add it to their presentations. The slogans are funnier the better ;) the winner will be chosen by the whole class voting!

Form groups of three or four and check what details you remember about the Walt Disney Resort. Prepare a short presentation in order to persuade people to come and see the resort. You can also google it and for some other interesting facts about it. And please find a slogan for your presentation.

WRITING (20 min)

After the video, group discussions, internet search and presentations students will have a large amount of information about the resort. Now it’s time for them to organize their thoughts and write a short letter. In their letter they will write their ideas under the titles stated in the task title. Students are to write at least a paragraph for each title. An introduction and a conclusion paragraph is another two things  monolingual or bilingual dictionaries are allowed as well.
