will count as one daily grade in that respective area of instruction.
Extra credit
If extra credit is offered in a course, it will be offered to all students informally. However, extra credit
points will only be incorporated with quizzes/tests and daily grades when computing grades. Points will
not be awarded to a final average.
Makeup Work –
Students are permitted to make up work missed for both excused and unexcused absences. One day for
each day of absence is allowed; however, flexibility is encouraged, especially when a child has been ill.
Make-up work will not be issued prior to the absence. It is suggested that a student be absent for three
days before make-up work is requested. Once it is determined that make-up work is in order, a schedule
for completing the work at school will be established. Failure to complete work in the scheduled time
will result in a zero on the assignment. For any class missed, the teacher may assign the student makeup work based on the instructional objectives for the subject or course, the needs of the individual
student in mastering the essential knowledge and skills or in meeting subject or course requirements.
The student shall be responsible for obtaining and completing the make-up work in a satisfactory
manner and within the time specified by the teacher.
