‘Love your liver’ campaign focus on:
Nutrition – speak to your canteen about various healthy
options, update vending machine contents, give
employees a free piece of fruit each, hold healthy
lunchbox demonstrations and nutritional talks.
Alcohol – put up posters raising awareness of alcohol and
its effects. Run interactive in-house awareness sessions
using visual aids such as drinking goggles and unit
measures.
‘Blue Monday’ focus on:
Beat the blues with some exercise related activities. Start
awalking/running club, hold in house activity such as Tai
Chi, Yoga, or an exercise class.
‘National heart month’ focus on:
Healthy heart promotion – raise awareness with British
Heart Foundation leaflets on cholesterol, blood pressure
etc …. For a small donation you can order hard copies of
leaflets delivered to your organisation.
Offer employees in-house health checks for blood
pressure, hegith, weight, BMI, glucose, cholesterol and fat
composition.
‘World cancer day’ focus on:
Cancer awareness promotion – raise awareness with
Cancer Research leaflets covering all cancer topics. You
can order hard copies for free and have them delivered to
your organisation.
Offer employees in-house wellman and wellwoman
awareness sessions focusing on gender specific issues
such as top cancers and the menopause.

that use visual aids to spot the difference between what
is normal and what isn’t. These sessions also include mini
health checks with blood pressure, height, weight, BMI,
cholesterol and glucose.

factors of resilience: Confidence, adaptability, social

and manage stress and mental health in the workplace. A
half day course covering the key aspects of managing
mental health in the workplace resulting in a positive
outcome for employee and employer

‘Men’s health awareness month’ – focus on:
‘Movember’ is all about raising awareness of men’s health
issues and encourages men to grow a mustache in order
to raise vital funds through fundraising activities. Many
workplaces take part in this activity while raising
awareness of key topics such as prostrate and testicular
cancers. Wellman clinics use visual aids to spot the
difference between what is normal and what isn’t. These
sessions also include mini health checks with blood
pressure, height, weight, BMI, cholesterol and glucose.

healthy eating and drinking over the Christmas period.
