 The syllabus explains the rigor, scope and sequence of the entire
year of instruction.

 READ IT. Word for word, all the way through.
 If you choose to ignore it, you will find yourself lost and likely
regret your decision to blindly attempt this course.
SYLLABUS
 Grading for dual credit:
• 90% essays/10% MHS average for semester
• Late work accepted with 10% decrease per day late (24 hours)
•
Example: If you get an 83 on the assignment and it is 2 days (48 hours) late,
your grade would be reduced 20%. Which means you would receive a 66.4 on
the assignment.
 Grading for high school credit:
• 60% major/40% minor
• Late work accepted with 10% decrease per day late (not including
weekends)
• Example: If you get an 83 on the assignment and it is 4 days late, but two
of those days were Saturday and Sunday, your grade would be reduced
20%. Which means you would receive a 66.4 on the assignment.
SYLLABUS
 You will do the same work regardless of what type of credit you
choose (Dual or High School Only).
