The Fulbright LL.M. Award at University of Minnesota The Award: University of Minnesota Law School’s Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program has partnered with Fulbright Belgium + Luxembourg to offer a $20,000 grant for eligible students to pursue the LL.M. degree at University of Minnesota. Eligible students must be a citizen of Belgium or Luxembourg, and must hold a first degree in law from a foreign (non-U.S.) jurisdiction. Fulbright will also offer the successful candidate a travel stipend, sickness and accident insurance, J-visa sponsorship, and access to global Fulbright programming in Belgium and the United States. The Program: The University of Minnesota Law School LL.M. program provides foreign lawyers with a rigorous academic experience, exposing them to a broad array of legal skills and knowledge. Business Law Program: The renowned LL.M. program provides foreign business lawyers with a rigorous business law experience that exposes them to a broad array of legal skills and knowledge crucial to the global practice of business law. Concentrations: The Law School is pleased to provide LL.M. students with the opportunity to receive a certificate of concentration in Business Law, Criminal Justice, Environmental & Energy Law, Health Law & Bioethics, Human Rights Law, Intellectual Property & Technology Law, International Law, and Labor & Employment Law. LL.M.-Specific Course Offerings: The Law School offers five courses and seminars designed specifically to provide LL.M. students with the practical legal skills to assist them in becoming true global practitioners. These include LL.M. Research and Writing, LL.M. Judicial Observation, Leadership and Law, The American Legal Profession, and LL.M. Trial Practice.
