The Case of the Bag of Bones
FINALLY! You are here to help. I have been waiting,
Gumshoe (a young detective). My name is Sherlock the
Dog. I was out playing yesterday and came home
dragging a bag of bones. I tried my best to put the bones
together, but what I really need is… an expert gumshoe
like you! Here is the bag, and I would love for your to
help me put the bones back together. Before you open
the bag, l need to give you some inside information about
the skeletal system to lead you in the right direction!

us and the different names of bones in our bodies. If you need help,
ask your teacher for assistance.
2. Click on Skeleton and print. Check to see how many bones you know.
3. Use your skeleton worksheet to PRACTICE naming the different bones
in the skeletal system.
4. Now you’re ready practice putting the bones together! Be careful… it
can be tricky. CLICK HERE to begin!
5. Now open your BAG OF BONES! With a friend, put Mr. Bones back
together.

The bag of bones mentioned in the PowerQuest can be any skeletal
puzzle. Our bags were Zip-lock bags that contained separate pieces
that can be put together by brad-fasteners.
