Oral Roberts University Quest Whole Person Scholarship
For those planning on attending Oral Roberts University, the award can be up to
$20,000 per year. The scholarship recognizes students committed to achieving

Alert Magazine Scholarship
Interested students must write an essay about a personal encounter you or someone
you know has had with drugs and/or alcohol abuse. Discuss how it was dealt with,
what was learned, and what was right or wrong (in your opinion) about the way the
incident or problem was handled. Award is $500 each time the Alert Magazine
publishes. Must be a senior in high school, 2.5 GPA or higher, and plans to attend
college directly out of high school.
There is no deadline. The scholarship is ongoing and one is awarded with the
publication of each edition of Alert magazine—approximately two times per year for
each state/region. If you meet the eligibility requirements (above) then you may apply

Presidential Scholars - $9,000, renewable, 3.85 GPA 1240 SAT, 28 ACT; Significant
leadership, and volunteer activities
Apex - $3,000 renewable; 3.60 GPA; 1150 SAT or 25 ACT
Stamps Program – Tuition, room and board for four years for five incoming freshmen.
3.85 cumulative GPA; 1240 combined math and critical reading on SAT. Applicants
must exemplify leadership, scholarship, service and innovation.
Diversity Excellence – Up to $6,500 awards available to students who enhance the
educational experience of all students by sharing diverse cultural experiences.
Summit - $6,000 renewable scholarship; 3.8 GPA; 1200 critical reading and math SAT.
General University Scholarship – $1,500 to $3,000. Must have a 3.5 GPA

Pride Foundation
Over 50 different types of scholarships available, but students only need to fill out one
application. Most scholarships are available for straight ally or questioning students, as
well as student of LGBT parents. All promote leadership and diversity in the LGBT

Altrusa Scholarship
$2500 to ONE graduating senior from Douglas Co. Schools. The award will cover tuition

Gates Millennium Scholars
1000 renewable scholarships that covers all unmet financial need to any accredited
college in the United States. Senior students who are African American, American
Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American or Hispanic that have a GPA of
3.3 or higher. Students need to have demonstrated leadership abilities through
participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities. Must meet the

Willamette Valley Section of the Society of Women Engineers
The Martina Testa Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of one of the
Willamette Valley Section founding members, Martina Testa. This $1000 scholarship is
awarded annually. To qualify, applicants must be female high school seniors, intending
to study engineering in a 4 or 5 year ABET accredited baccalaureate program. In
addition, applicants must reside and attend high school in the Willamette Valley or
central Oregon coast (i.e. zip codes 973xx and 974xx). The scholarship is awarded
primarily on the basis of scholastic achievement, community involvement and work
experience. However, other required applications documents will also be highly
considered. Applications are typically due in mid-January for the scholarship the

Pathway Oregon (University of Oregon)
The University of Oregon’s need-based scholarship program that covers tuition and
fees for four years as long as the student remains academically and financially eligible.
Must have a high school cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher, be admitted as a first time
freshman, complete a U or O application for admissions by January 15, and have FAFSA

The Oregon Blueberry Commission’s Scholarship fund for student s attending or

Eastern Oregon University - Math Educators Scholars Award
MESA is a major scholarship program designed to help bring capable, undergraduate
students to EOU to pursue Bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and to be prepared for
entry into the Masters of Teaching/Teacher Licensure program in our College of
Education. Scholarship awards will range from $2,000 to $4,000 per year and may be

Zonta International of Roseburg Area
Zonta is a scholarship program for Young Women in Public Affairs. This award is an
opportunity for yourn women students to compete for honor and recognition in an
international competition. The local Douglas County winner will be honored at the
Rose Day High Tea and will receive $500. She will then be entered in the district
competition which gives the winner $1000. The District winner is entered in the Zonta
International Foundation Competition where the winner receives $3000 and the honor
of possibly being named the International Young Women in Public Affairs. See the

ESA (Epsilon Sigma Alpha) Scholarships
The ESA Foundation offers more than 180 scholarships each year for deserving United
States and International students who meet the criteria of individual endowments.
Students are to fill out the applications and all related material online, including a
personal essay that stresses accomplishments, 2 signed letters of recommendation,

Al Forthan Memorial $10,000 Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an Oregon high school senior from a family affected by
alcohol or drug addiction. Affected by addiction means you have been raised by a
parent or guardian who has experienced addiction or you have abused alcohol or drugs
and are now pursuing recovery.
One $10,000 scholarship will be awarded. It will be allocated in $2,500 installments
over four years.
To be eligible for the $10,000 scholarship you will need to include a one page
(maximum) letter of support from a teacher, coach, school counselor, adult mentor,
pastor, etc. in your application describing your character and why they would
recommend you for this scholarship.

Southern Oregon University Scholarships
One easy application for $16 million in scholarship awards!
You don't need to be a merit scholar or a student with financial need to apply for OSAC
scholarships. All types of scholarships are available. Many are based on criteria such as
high school attended, school and community activities, academic interests, or career
goals. Some require a minimum GPA and others require no GPA whatsoever. There are

Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship
The Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship is a renewable four-year collegiate
scholarship program for Oregon high school seniors who are emerging leaders who
plan to attend an Oregon university or trade school. This is a need-based scholarship
with criteria focusing on an individual’s involvement in his or her community, rather
than academic or athletic performance.
Four scholarships will be issued for the upcoming academic year. Each scholarship is
worth $2,500 and renewable for a four-year total of $10,000 per student. The
Foundation is making for a total annual commitment of $40,000 a year in perpetuity.
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
● Achieve a high school diploma or GED in the state of Oregon
● Completed an application to at least one Oregon collegiate program (university,
college, or trade program)
● Committed to attending an Oregon university, college, or trade school.
● Completed standardized testing required for program admission (SAT or ACT)

PEO STAR SCHOLARSHIP
The Department of Human Services (DHS) Independent Living Program (ILP) has
received Chafee Education and Training Voucher (ETV) funding to help current or
former foster care youth with postsecondary education and training. Youth may be
eligible to receive up to $3,000* per academic year. To be eligible, you must: Currently
be in foster care, or Had been in foster care for at least 180 days (six months) after
your 14th birthday and exited substitute care at age 16 or older.Be participating in
the voucher program on your 21st birthday***. Youth may then continue to
apply/receive funds until they turn 23 years old as long as they are enrolled in a postsecondary education or training program and making satisfactory progress toward
completion of that program.
This scholarship is for women who are active in their school and community and have
made a difference by heading up a project that contributes positively to the lives of

American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Program

Bulletin
The Amercican Legion sponsors an Oratorical Scholarship Competition for students in
grades 6 – 12 with the intent of promoting knowledge and appreciation for the
Constitution of the United States. Participants will prepare a 3-5 munute oration on a
pre-determined topic. The competition proceeds from local level, to district level, to
area level, to state level, then to a national level, if selected. Scholarships range from
$1,500 to $18,000. If you are interested in this opportunity see Mrs. Cox in the library.

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
Scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to a local graduating male and female
senior. The recipients will continue on to the regional competition and then possibly
state and national level for a top award of $50,000. Selection is based on academic
