Hershey Medical Center. She works with patients in the hospital who need to improve their nutrition for recovery from illness, primarily related to cardiovascular disease. She also serves as a preceptor for the Penn State Dietetic Internship, which has allowed her to share her love for teaching people about nutrition with future dietitians. Sherry Bibawy `07 sbibawyy23@gmail.com Sherry manages 4-10 offices in the Philadelphia Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program. She trains and guides nutritionists as well as nutrition managers/supervisors. Sherry also works with community programs within Philadelphia and explains the WIC Program to new residents of the hospitals in the city. Lily Hsu `79g lily.hsu@mcphs.edu Hsu is associate provost for academic affairs at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, which has campuses in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire. Hsu provides leadership for institutional effectiveness, institutional research, outcomes assessment and faculty development. She also oversees and coordinates assessment activities and directs the New Faculty Orientation Program and Senior Faculty Fellows, a mentoring program for junior and mid-career faculty. Prior to assuming her current role, she was assistant provost for academic affairs. In addition to her degrees from Penn State, Hsu received an Ed.D. from Columbia University's Teachers College in Health and Behavior Studies and Nutrition Education. Jill Jayne `04 jill@jumpwithjill.com Jill Jayne refers to herself as the country’s only “rockstar nutritionist.” She is the creator of the live rock ‘n roll nutrition show “Jump with Jill,” the accompanying audio CD “Get Me Goin,” and the teacher toolkit “Nutrition Rock Invasion.” She also casts and trains others to perform “Jump with Jill” around the country. In addition to being an accomplished musician, Jayne is a registered dietitian with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and in theater from Penn State and a master’s degree in nutrition education from Teachers College Columbia University. Before becoming a professional “rockstar nutritionist,” she was a writer, producer, and host of the nationally syndicated children’s nutrition news program What’s in the News for PBS as well as a New York City public school teacher. Susan Jennings `88 sjennings1200@msn.com Susan graduated from Penn State in 1988 with a BS in Applied Nutrition degree and again in 1996 with her M. Ed. in Health Education. She is currently working as an Account Manager in Corporate Relations with the American Cancer Society in the Pittsburgh office. This is a new business development and relationship management position working with Fortune 1000 and prominent regional companies headquartered in western Pennsylvania. Corporate engagement strategies include corporate philanthropy, employee engagement and volunteerism, CEO engagement, cause marketing, co-branded education/messaging, corporate wellness and grant requests to foundations. Susan spent more than 10 years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative working for Abbvie/Abbott selling to Neurologists and Psychiatrists, as well as with Endo Pharmaceuticals promoting pain management products to various physician targets. Susan started in sales with an account support position with Novartis Nutrition (now part of Nestle Health Sciences), and was promoted into a sales role selling enteral products, pumps/supplies, and specialty therapeutic foods into hospitals and LTC settings. Susan worked as a clinical dietitian for 8 years before getting into sales. She attended the University of Kentucky for her dietetic internship (‘88-’89). Barbara Kochanowski `79 bkochanowski@msn.com Kochanowski is responsible for regulatory affairs activities, including cooperative programs with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, ingredient safety, and dietary supplement programs at CHPA. Prior to joining CHPA in 2009, Dr. Kochanowski worked for more than 23 years in R&D at The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G), retiring in December 2008 as director, Global Personal Health Care, Oral Care, and Feminine Care Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Microbiology. She is experienced in pharmaceutical, medical device, and dietary supplement regulatory affairs, Rx-to-OTC switch, product safety, clinical research, and pharmacovigilance. Dr. Kochanowski is a member of the American Society of Nutrition. She also serves on the board of directors of the American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education. Karen Weisen `77 kweisen@geisinger.edu Karen Wiesen, MS, RD, LDN received her BS in Nutrition in 1977 from The Pennsylvania State University and her MS in Clinical Dietetics in 1988 from St. Louis University. She has been a clinical dietitian for 34 years with over 25 years of experience as a renal dietitian. She is presently a renal dietitian and the inpatient dietitian supervisor at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She serves as a clinical preceptor in renal for the Geisinger dietetic internship and past teaching experience includes intern preceptor at St Louis University, Barnes Jewish Hospital and the St Louis VA Internships and guest faculty in renal nutrition at St. Louis University in the School of Allied Health. Karen served as a past Chair of the National Kidney Foundation Council on Renal Nutrition. She is co-editor of the 1st and 2nd edition of A Clinical Guide to Nutrition Care in Kidney Disease and is a workgroup member on the Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Dietitians in Nephrology. She received the Recognized Renal Dietitian Award in 2007 and the Outstanding Service Award in 2013 from the National Kidney Foundation Council on Renal Nutrition. She is a published author and invited speaker in the area of renal nutrition at the national level. Frances Wulf `98 fewulf13@gmail.com Frances is currently working in Research and Development in the pharmaceutical industry as a Project Director. She works on managing and oversight of clinical trials. Frances worked her way up in her career starting in research at Penn State, then working with patients and ultimately, a management position with various pharmaceutical companies. She works with global teams and has traveled all over the world.
