NDIA PMSC Services Sub-Committee Overview
• Problem Statement:
– EVMS is being applied to a variety of services type work scenarios
and there is no consistent guidance or policy on how EVMS should be
implemented
• Charter for Subcommittee:

Overview of Effort to Date
• Compiled list of “problems, issues, and/or challenges” with
implementing EVMS on services work
• Grouped these items by topical “theme”
– Initially tried grouping by 32 guidelines
– Then by 5 ANSI-748 categories
– Then by 9 process areas in EVMIG
– Found that none of these approaches worked and decided to let the
groupings emerge from the themes within the individual items
• The existing groupings are draft and could be combined or broken
out differently, but it served the point of helping to understand what
people were thinking about and what they consider most important
• The consolidated list provides a good spectrum of common aspects
and factors involved in implementing EVMS in services work
