Directions: Cut out pictures of landforms. Classify them. Glue and label.

How are mountains and hills alike?
How are plains and beaches alike? How are they different?

Landforms Insta-Lab
Directions: Use clay to model kinds of lands. Show a mountain, a hill, a valley, and a plain. Cut the labels
below and label each land shape. Don’t forget to place the partner name label somewhere visible on your
model.
When done, take a picture of your clay landforms with the classroom digital camera.

PowerPoint
 Click on Insert then Sound then Record
 Both partners will give a tour of your model and read the Draw Conclusions answers (page 5).
Decide which one will say the tour and which will read. If you like, you can both do the tour. For
example, one partner tours the valley and plains and the other partner tours the hills and
mountains.
 Record it by clicking on the RED CIRCLE
 Play your recording by clicking on the BLUE TRIANGLE. If one of the two partners is not happy with
the recording, please record again.
 When you are both happy with the recording, click OK and a speaker will appear
 Click on the Save icon
and close.
