Landform Project: Due Thursday 11/5
Students are working in class with partners to analyze a
specific landform. This project has 2 parts.
Part 1:
A. Map of the world that illustrates the most prevalent locations of the designated Landform.
B. A transparency layer that describes the most prevalent locations of landforms in the world. This will
be used to create a class complied landform map of the world.
Part 2:
PowerPoint that uses the research about your landform to create an informational
presentation. The PowerPoint must include Features of the landform, description and picture of
a famous example of your landform, Description of the climate and vegetation surrounding the
famous landform featured, and a summary of your landform and its characteristics.
Steps and Slide Requirements
Step 1: Use your research sheet for notes and facts describing your landforms (must be turned in
with PowerPoint).
Step 2: You will checkout the web sites listed to find definitions and facts about your landform
(Google Classroom also has specific resources about your landform posted)
Step 3: After you finish your Notes, you will begin your Power Point Presentation.
Slide #1 will contain the name of your landform, Group names, and pictures of your landform. Find
these pictures on the web and copy them on your first slide.
Slide #2: Describe your landform. Tell the features of this landform.
Slide #3: Find a famous example of your landform. Copy the picture into the slide and put the name
of this landform on it as well.
Slide #4: Find examples of climate surrounding this landform. Copy pictures of these to this slide.
Slide #5 Find examples of vegetation surrounding this landform. Copy pictures of these to this slide.
Slide #6: Use this slide to summarize your landform and its characteristics.
