And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand, !!!
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.!!!
Here is the patience (Sav lon oo) of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev. 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Isaiah 66:22, 24
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,
We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel : only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
Rev. 13: 16-18
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

There is no doubt that the very nature of faith means that some of our beliefs will never be the same. We read from different texts. We follow different edicts. We subscribe to different accounts of how we came to be here and where we’re going next – and some subscribe to no faith at all.
But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate . There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.
We know too that whatever our differences, there is one law that binds all great religions together . Jesus told us to “love thy neighbor as thyself.” The Torah commands, “That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow.” In Islam, there is a hadith that reads “None of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.” And the same is true for Buddhists and Hindus ; for followers of Confucius and for humanists . It is, of course, the Golden
Rule – the call to love one another; to understand one another; to treat with dignity and respect those with whom we share a brief moment on this Earth.
It is an ancient rule; a simple rule; but also one of the most challenging. For it asks each of us to take some measure of responsibility for the well-being of people we may not know or worship with or agree with on every issue .
Sometimes, it asks us to reconcile with bitter enemies or resolve ancient hatreds. And that requires a living, breathing, active faith. It requires us not only to believe, but to do – to give something of ourselves for the benefit of others and the betterment of our world.
In this way, the particular faith that motivates each of us can promote a greater good for all of us. Instead of driving us apart, our varied beliefs can bring us together to feed the hungry and comfort the
afflicted; to make peace where there is strife and rebuild what has broken; to lift up those who have fallen on hard times. This is not only our call as people of faith, but our duty as citizens of America, and it will be the purpose of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships that I’m announcing later today.
The goal of this office will not be to favor one religious group over another – or even religious groups over secular groups .
It will simply be to work on behalf of those organizations that want to work on behalf of our communities, and to do so without blurring the line that our founders wisely drew between church and state.
This work is important, because whether it’s a secular group advising families facing foreclosure or faithbased groups providing job-training to those who need work, few are closer to what’s happening on our streets and in our neighborhoods than these organizations. People trust them. Communities rely on them. And we will help them.
We will also reach out to leaders and scholars around the world to foster a more productive and peaceful dialogue on faith . I don’t expect divisions to disappear overnight, nor do I believe that longheld views and conflicts will suddenly vanish. But I do believe that if we can talk to one another openly and honestly, then perhaps old rifts will start to mend and new partnerships will begin to emerge. In a world that grows smaller by the day, perhaps we can begin to crowd out the destructive forces of zealotry and make room for the healing power of understanding.
This is my hope. This is my prayer.
I believe this good is possible because my faith teaches me that all is possible, but I also believe because of what I have seen and what I have lived.
I was not raised in a particularly religious household. I had a father who was born a Muslim but became an atheist, grandparents who were non-practicing Methodists and Baptists, and a mother who was skeptical of organized religion, even as she was the kindest, most spiritual person I’ve ever known. She was the one who taught me as a child to love, and to understand, and to do unto others as I would want done.
I didn’t become a Christian until many years later, when I moved to the South Side of Chicago after college. It happened not because of indoctrination or a sudden revelation, but because I spent month after month working with church folks who simply wanted to help neighbors who were down on their luck – no matter what they looked like, or where they came from, or who they prayed to. It was on those streets, in those neighborhoods, that I first heard God’s spirit beckon me. It was there that I felt called to a higher purpose – His purpose.
In different ways and different forms, it is that spirit and sense of purpose that drew friends and neighbors to that first prayer breakfast in Seattle all those years ago, during another trying time for our nation. It is what led friends and neighbors from so many faiths and nations here today. We come to break bread and give thanks and seek guidance, but also to rededicate ourselves to the mission of love and service that lies at the heart of all humanity. As St. Augustine once said, “Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.”
So let us pray together on this February morning, but let us also work together in all the days and months ahead. For it is only through common struggle and common effort, as brothers and sisters, that we fulfill our highest purpose as beloved children of God. I ask you to join me in that effort, and I also ask that you pray for me, for my family, and for the continued perfection of our union. Thank you.

The annual National Prayer Breakfast will be co-chaired by Sen. Norm Coleman, the first time in memory that a Jew will lead the gathering, and at a time when some rabbis have expressed misgivings about what they see as the event's overtly Christian tone.
The breakfast is staged without government funding every year by the Fellowship Foundation, an evangelical Christian group. Presidents from Dwight D. Eisenhower to George W. Bush have attended, along with members of Congress and world leaders. This year, King Abdullah II of
Jordan will give the keynote speech at a lunch following the breakfast, which is scheduled for
Thursday.
Although the breakfast has historically been a Christian event, Jews have had more of a presence in recent years, including a speech by Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., an orthodox Jew.
"To the extent that Senator Coleman's co-chairing signifies a more inclusive approach, I think that's a positive development," said Rabbi David Saperstein, director of the Religious Action
Center of Reform Judaism. "Whether it represents a shift in tone remains to be seen when the event occurs."
ASHEVILLE, N.C. — North Carolina Rep. Heath Shuler is introducing President Barack
Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast.
Thursday morning's prayer breakfast will bring together thousands of people, including national and international leaders.
Shuler is this year's co-chair of the National Prayer Breakfast and will introduce Obama as the final speaker of the event.
Michell Hicks, principal chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokees, will say the breakfast's opening prayer.
Shuler represents a district covering North Carolina's mountains. Michigan Rep. Vern Ehlers is the other co-chair of the annual prayer breakfast.
In 1898 the Germans took two significant things from Babylon and
Turkey. The Seat of Satan mentioned in Revelation 2, from Pergamon in Turkey, and the Ishtar Gate. ( Main Gate and one of eight gates from the city of Babylon).
In 1913 the reconstruction of the Seat of Satan was completed in Berlin and was followed by a tremendous opening ceremony of dedication. Within one year Germany was at war. Prior to
WWII, Hitler built a model of the altar of the Seat of Satan in
Nuremberg from which he made some of his famous speeches, including the one declaring extermination of the Jews.
Hitler envisioned himself as the Ceasar of the Roman Empire. The third reich (3 rd Rieck)
The gigantic 'Altar of Pergamon' dominates Germany's Pergamon

Temple at Pergamon with its altar was the center of Emperor worship; the price of refusal to acknowledge the Emperor as God - ritual murder on the altar!
Revelation 2:13 calls it 'Satan's Seat' or 'the
Throne of Satan', you can clearly see the images of the dragon god, lovingly restored to its former glory. Why would they bring 2 items like this, which speak of evil and have connections with Satan.
Europe is becoming a Godless organization whose intentions are far from righteous.

Pergamum or Pergamos was the capital city of the province of Asia mentioned in Revelation as one of the seven churches of Asia. It was a celebrated city of Mysia in the Caicus valley, 15 miles from the Aegean Sea about 60 miles north of Smyrna. The river Selinus flowed through it and the river Caicus ran just south of it. Founded by
Philelaerus, the lieutenant of King Lysimachus during his wars with Seleucus, it is now modern Berghama.

Originally the gate, as part of the Walls of Babylon, was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the world until, in the 6th century AD, it was replaced with the Lighthouse of Alexandria . It stands 47 feet high and 100 feet wide
The Ishtar Gate was the gateway to go to the Temple of Istar. When the Jews went into captivity in Babylon they passed through this gate.
The gate had pictures of 337 demons, the Babylonian snake-gods. 337 in Hebrew numerology means "Hell." Therefore, the Jews called this gate the "Gateway to Hell." The Germans took this gate from Babylon and rebuilt it in ( Berlin ) where it can be seen today.
There was considerable activity by German archaeologists during and after World War I. However, this activity was more of a nature of archaeological pillage, and certainly not reconstruction. The top 100 feet of the Ishtar Gate at Babylon was removed brick-by-brick and reassembled at the Pergamum Museum in Berlin.
After the Germans, the French and English pillaged the ruins of Babylon under the sand.
Many of the Babylonian artifacts are piled in the basement of the
British Museum in London.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

The pope wears a cross in all public appearances and is slated to visit the Western Wall on May 12 after a meeting with Muslim religious leaders at the Dome of the Rock.
After the visit, which will include a meeting with Rabinovitch, the pope is slated to meet with Israel's two chief rabbis, Yona Metzger and
Shlomo Amar.
"My position is that it is not fitting to enter the Western Wall area with religious symbols, including a cross," said Rabinovitch in a telephone interview with The Jerusalem Post Monday. "I feel the same way about a Jew putting on a tallit and phylacteries and going into a church."

The Papal States (the name given to land previously owned by the
Roman Catholic Church in Italy) had lost all its land in the 1870 unification of Italy. The Roman Catholic Church received £30 million in compensation in 1929 and the Church was given 109 acres in Rome to create a new papal state - the Vatican. The pope was allowed a small army, police force, post office and rail station. The pope was also given a country retreat called Castel Gandolfo.
When these agreements were signed in 1929 , Mussolini’s popularity was at its highest. He had got what he wanted - the support from the members of the public who may not have supported the Fascists but who saw the Roman Catholic Church working with the Fascist government, and that by itself created a tacit acceptance of
Mussolini’s government.
Though Mussolini and the Roman Catholic Church were to quarrel in the 1930’s, these were invariably minor squabbles and were quickly patched up. The one major one occurred in July 1938, when Mussolini
introduced the Charter of Race which took away the Italian Jews right of Italian nationality. Italian Jews were not allowed to teach, they were not allowed to have state jobs, they were not allowed to be in the
Fascist Party (though a number had since 1922 !) and no Jew could work for a bank or insurance company. Jews were forbidden from marrying non-Jewish Italians and they were not allowed to join the army. These laws were so unpopular that the pope sent a letter of protest to Mussolini.
To gain credibility with the Roman Catholic Church, Mussolini had his children baptised in 1923. In 1926, he had a religious marriage ceremony to his wife Rachele. Their first marriage in 1915 had been a civil ceremony. Mussolini closed down many wine shops and night clubs. He also made swearing in public a crime.

'We mustn't get the impression there are first-class, second-class religions'

The Vatican says the world is focusing on Islam to the exclusion of other faiths, and there needs to be a balance among the various belief systems when issues are discussed.
"Yes, the people are obsessed by Islam. For example I'm going to India next month and I want to give this message that all religions are equal. Sometimes there are priorities because of particular situations, but we mustn't get the impression there are first class religions and second class religions," said
Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Pontifical Council for Inter-
Religious Dialogue.
His comments focused on the council's recent meetings concerning new guidelines for interfaith dialogue, and were in an interview with
Terrasanta.net.
He said the Catholic Church must "have regard for all religions."
"What was interesting about our discussions was that we did not concentrate on Islam because in a way we are being held hostage by Islam a little bit," he said. "Islam is very important, but there are also other great Asiatic religious traditions. Islam is one religion."
According to the United Kingdom Mail newspaper, Pope Benedict XVI has scheduled an unprecedented Catholic -Muslim meeting in October.
Tauran said the new guidelines are intended to be "a kind of road map for priests, bishops and ordinary brothers and sisters."
Christians, he said "have many things in common with other believers – for example that we all believe in one God, that we profess the same sacredness of life, the necessity of fraternity, the experience of prayer."
Wed May 28, 2008 3:40 AM ET
SYDNEY (AFP) - Pope Benedict XVI will meet Jewish, Muslim,
Buddhist and Hindu leaders during his visit to Australia in July, organisers said Wednesday.
The leader of the Roman Catholic church will speak with about 40 representatives from other faiths while in Sydney for World Youth Day, a six-day celebration of the Catholic faith aimed at young people.
Coordinator Bishop Anthony Fisher said the meeting was in keeping with the inclusive aims of World Youth Day, which he said was not just for
Catholics, despite the fact it was hosted by the church.
"But like so much the church does... it seeks to serve all-comers," he said.
Fisher said many World Youth Day events would be open to non-Catholics and care had been taken that a reenactment of the last moments of Jesus
Christ's life, including his death, did not arouse anti-semitic feelings.
"We're very conscious of the fear some people might have that enacting the Passion of Christ could incite anti-semitic feelings and so we've had a long dialogue about how we can minimise any risk of that," Fisher said.
"We want to make it very clear to people that the Passion of Christ... celebrated in the stations of the cross is not intended to be, is no excuse for being, an attack on anybody."
Fisher said the pope would also meet leaders from other Christian traditions including the Anglican, Protestant, Orthodox, Lutheran,
Presbyterian and Eastern Rite churches during his July 15-20 visit.
VATICAN CITY, NOV. 30, 2005 ( Zenit.org
).- Whoever seeks peace and the good of the community with a pure conscience, and keeps alive the desire for the transcendent, will be saved even if he lacks biblical faith, says Benedict XVI.
The following is a quote of Pope John Paul II's statement in
English to those gathered in St. Peter's square on
Wednesday, December 6th, 2000, in which he briefly summarized his message of the day, "FOR US, THE
KINGDOM IS GRACE":
"Dear brothers and sisters, the theme of Our general audience during this great Jubilee year, has been the glory of the Trinity, and today we ask what we must do to ensure that the glory of the Trinity shines forth more fully in the world.
In essence we are called to be converted and to believe in the Gospel. We are to accept the kingdom of God in our hearts, and to bear witness to it by word and deed. The kingdom indicates the loving presence and activity of
God in the world and should be a source of serenity and confidence to our lives. The Gospel teaches us that those who live in accordance with the beatitudes: the poor in spirit; the pure in heart; those who will lovingly [endure] the sufferings of life; will enter God's kingdom. All who seek God with a sincere heart, including those who do not know Christ and His Church, contribute under the influence of grace, to the building of this kingdom. In the Lord's prayer we say 'Thy kingdom come'. May this be the hope that sustains us and inspires our Christian life and world."
Normally, “it will be in the sincere practice of what is good in their own religious traditions and by following the dictates of their own conscience that the members of other religions respond positively to God’s invitation and receive salvation in Jesus Christ, even while they do not recognize or acknowledge him as
their Saviour (cf. Ad gentes, nn. 3, 9, 11)”
(Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue –
Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples,
Instruction Dialogue and Proclamation , 19
May 1991, n. 29; L’Osservatore Romano English edition, 1 July 1991, p. III).
" The universality of Christ's redemption for Jews and gentiles is so fundamental throughout the entire New
Testament ... that it cannot be ignored or passed over in silence," "This does not mean that Jews in order to
be saved have to become Christians; if they follow their own conscience and believe in God's promises as they understand them in their religious tradition, they are in line with God's plan, which for us comes to historical completion in Jesus Christ," ― Cardinal
Walter Kasper , president of the Vatican's

National Council of Churches
The National Council of Churches in America has about 45 million people in over 100,000 congregations across the USA.
There policies are to encourage fellowship with different religions in
America. They encourage there churches to invite speakers of other religions to speak in their churches. In our area recently one of the largest denomination of the National Council of Churches had a service in a large church where the 1 st speaker was Muslim, the 2 nd was a Jew and the 3 rd was one of the leaders of their churches. They give instructions on their website on how to promote these meetings with other religions
The following is an advertisement of the National Council of
Churches, on their website, where they are promoting videos of religious pluralism.
Three Faiths, One God: Judaism, Christianity, Islam thoughtfully examines the religious beliefs and practices shared by Jews,
Christians and Muslims to illustrate how many individuals in the
Abrahamic faith communities are dealing with historical conflicts yet remain dedicated to facilitating understanding and respect. Three
Faiths, One God captures a broad range of voices and ideas of ordinary people and respected scholars in the interfaith field. The program contrasts the religious practices of the three faiths, including the rituals of fasting and marriage.
Jews and Christians: A Journey of Faith is a 90-minute, in-depth inquiry into the intertwined history of Jews and Christians. Produced by Auteur Productions, and based on the book by Marvin Wilson,
Our Father Abraham: Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith, this video offers helpful insight into how Christianity and Judaism have defined themselves and developed in close sibling relationship. It shows the similarities and differences in liturgical practice, piety and theology that have been so often misunderstood in the long relationship between Christians and Jews, and includes footage of today's hopeful
Christian-Jewish dialogues. A guide with additional written material is also available. For

Muhammad: Legacy of a Prophet tells the story of the seventh century prophet who changed world history in 23 years, and continues to shape the lives of more than 1.2 billion people. The film takes viewers not only to ancient Middle Eastern sites where
Muh ammad’s story unfolds, but into the homes, mosques and workplaces of some of America’s estimated seven million Muslims to discover the many ways in which they follow Muhammad’s example.

ADL: Religious groups' plan to break bread with Ahmadinejad is a 'betrayal'
Five American religious organizations have announced plans to host a dinner to break the Ramadan fast with Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad during his upcoming visit to the United States.
The Mennonite Central Committee, the Quakers, the World Council of
Churches, Religions for Peace and the American Friends Service Committee are sponsoring the meeting with President Ahmadinejad on September 25 in
New York City.
The dinner to break the Ramadan fast, called an Iftar, is being billed as "an international dialogue between religious leaders and political figures" in a conversation "about the role of religions in tackling global challenges and building peaceful societies."

National Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Abraham H.
Foxman, issued a response to the announcement, calling the planned event "a perversion of the search for peace and an appalling betrayal of religious values."
"It simply defies belief that five organizations with a mission of promoting peace through dialogue would choose President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad from among the hundreds of world leaders and ambassadors who will be in New York this month, as an appropriate and legitimate interlocutor on world peace," Foxman said.
Foxman continued, "In extending an invitation to Ahmadinejad, the religious organizations sponsoring this dinner have tarnished their reputations as peace seekers and bridge builders. Their breaking bread with President Ahmadinejad is a perversion of the search for peace and an appalling betrayal of religious values."
Ahmadinejad has caused international uproar with his continued denial of the Holocaust and his frequent anti-Israel tirades, in which he has called for Israel to be wiped off the map.

Tony Blair is visiting Saudi
Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar for a series of meetings ahead of the Palestinian donors’ conference in Paris later this month.
Speaking after his talks with King Abdullah in Riyadh, where the two discussed international efforts to push forward the peace process, Mr Blair said:
"We feel the need to keep the pressure to get action and to get the changes we need to make the peace process work."
Mr Blair said that the Palestinians need help to support themselves and develop their institutions, adding that the
Annapolis conference last month had already revived hope about returning to the peace process.
“The Paris conference, to be held on December 17th, would help the Palestinians plan their future... This will be a chance for the international community to ensure support for the Palestinian people,” he said.

In a rare departure from government practice, Saudi Arabia's King
Abdullah is planning to convene an interfaith conference for
Muslims, Christians and Jews, according to the Saudi-owned
Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper.
The call for religious dialog to include Jews is the first by the monarch, whose country's laws prohibit the importation of non-
Muslim religious objects including crucifixes and stars of David.
The Saudi King said representatives of the three major monotheistic faiths need to work together "to defend humanity" from harm, speaking in an address he delivered in Riyadh on Monday.

Al-Sharq al-Awsat, which is published in London, quoted King
Abdullah as saying he had discussed idea of a summit to promote religious dialog a number of months ago with the Pope.
"I proposed to him to address God by means of the commandments he commanded the monotheistic faiths in the bible, the New Testament, and the Koran," the king said.
The monarch said he is disturbed by the breakdown of the family unit across the world, as well as the damaged to the principle of "loyalty to humanity."
" I plan, god willing, to hold summits - not just one - so as to hear the opinion of my Muslim brothers all over the world. We will start to meet with our brothers in every faith I have mentioned - the bible and the New Testament,"
King Abdullah said the kingdom's top clerics had given him the green light to pursue the idea.

Tony Blair will today launch his faith foundation lair will today launch his faith foundation with a call for the creation of a new coalition to harness the moral leadership of people of faith to do good and to show the relevance of faith to the challenges of the modern world.
The event will be moderated by Christiane Amanpour and include representatives of a number of the organisations the Foundation will partner with.
Tony Blair's speech to launch the Faith Foundation .
Dr Eboo Patel, founder and director of the InterFaith Youth
Core, and Malaria No More campaigner Saleemah Abdul-
Ghaffur will address how the Foundation and its partners will help people of faith do more: they are part of the Faiths
Act campaign - multi-faith action on eradicating deaths from malaria.
President Rick Levin and Professor Harry Stout from Yale
University will address different aspects of how the
Foundation will help people understand more about how religion can go wrong and how it is at its best.
The goals of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation are:
to promote respect and understanding between the major religions; to make the case for faith as a force for good; and to encourage inter-faith initiatives to tackle global poverty and conflict.
Announcing the launch of the Faith Foundation Tony Blair said: "Religious faith will be of the same significance to the
21st Century as political ideology was to the 20th Century.
In an era of globalisation, there is nothing more important than getting people of different faiths and cultures to understand each other better and live in peace and mutual respect; and to give faith itself its proper place in the future."
Tony Blair has argued that faith has to be rescued from those who would use it to divide and those determined to write it off as an irrelevance. By stressing the values of respect, justice and compassion which the great religions hold in common, he believes faith can help unite the World and shape its direction for the better.
The Tony Blair Faith Foundation is a response to these opportunities and challenges. It will use the power of modern communications to step up efforts to educate,
inform and develop understanding about the different faiths and between them. At the same time, the Foundation will use its profile and resources to help mobilise people of faith to work together in concrete action to build a fairer and better world.
In the first three years of the Foundation, priority will be given to encouraging inter-faith initiatives to tackle global poverty and to improve understanding of the great religions through education at every level.
Blair welcomes $7.4 billion in pledges to Palestinians
The Paris conference to raise funds for the Palestinians has gone beyond expectations, with donors pledging of $7.4 billion to help build a Palestinian state.
Quartet Representative and conference co-chair Tony Blair said the money would be used for "building the capacity and the institutions for the Palestinian state."
"Over the next few months what we have got to show to people is that we are capable of making the difference on the ground," he said.
The Palestinian government had sought $5.6 billion over three years, funds designed to revive the moribund
Palestinian economy and strengthen Abbas in a struggle with Hamas Islamists who seized control of the Gaza Strip in June.
"We see it as an important vote of confidence by the international community," Palestinian Prime Minister
Salam Fayyad told a closing news conference hours after
Abbas warned of serious consequences if the support hoped for was not forthcoming.
"The real winner is the Palestinian state," said French
Foreign Minister and conference co-chair Bernard
Kouchner.
Former UK PM Tony Blair Converts to Catholicism Saturday,
December 22, 2007
AP
LONDON — Former Prime Minister Tony Blair, who generally kept his religious views private while in office, has converted to Catholicism, church officials said Saturday.
Blair, who had long been a member of the Church of England , converted to the Catholic faith during a Mass held on Friday night at a chapel in
London, the Catholic Church said.
"It can be confirmed that Tony Blair has been received into full communion with the Catholic Church by Cardinal Cormac Murphy-
O'Connor," the head of the church in England and Wales, the church said in a statement.
"I'm very glad to welcome Tony Blair into the Catholic Church," the statement quoted Murphy-O'Connor as saying.
It said he had been a regular worshipper at Mass with his family and in recent months has been following a program leading to his reception into the church.
There had long been speculation that Blair planned to convert to
Catholicism. His wife, Cherie, is Roman Catholic and the couple's children have attended Catholic schools.
Blair, who is now a Middle East peace envoy, met Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in June.
Earlier this year, the former prime minister told the BBC that he had avoided talking about his religious views while in office for about 10 years for fear of being labeled "a nutter."
In England's last census, 72 percent of people identified themselves as
Christian. Many are Anglicans affiliated with the Church of England, which was created by royal proclamation during the 16th century after
King Henry VIII — who married six times — broke ties with the Roman
Catholic Church in a dispute over divorce.
The Church of England has said that less than 10 percent of its members are regular churchgoers.
Britons often express surprise at people who openly and fervently discuss their religious views. “Nutter”
" I am delighted to present my latest book In Defense of Israel.
This book will expose the sins of the fathers and the vicious abuse of the Jewish people. In Defense of Israel will shake
Christian theology. It scripturally proves that the Jewish people as a whole did not reject Jesus as Messiah. It will also prove that Jesus did not come to earth to be the
Messiah.
It will prove that there was a Calvary conspiracy between Rome, the high priest, and Herod to execute Jesus as an insurrectionist too dangerous to live.
Jesus refused by word and deed to claim to be the Messiah

Apology to Catholic League of America
In addition, I better understand that reference to the Roman
Catholic Church as the “apostate church” and the “great whore”, appear only during the seven years of tribulation after all true believers – Catholic and Protestant- have been taken up to heaven. Therefore, neither of these phrases can be synonymous with the Catholic Church.
Religious Pluralism
The belief that all religions can teach truths
In its strongest sense, religious pluralism holds that no single religion can claim absolute authority to teach absolute truth.
The word of God is not literal religion. On the contrary, religion attempts to describe
God's utterances. Given the finite and fallible nature of human beings, no religious text written by Man can absolutely describe God ,
(Buddhism, Hinduism and New Age) God's will, or God's counsel, since it is God apart from Man who reveals the divine thoughts, intentions and volition perfectly.
During the Pope's visit to Los Angeles in 1987, Schuller "played the papal hoopla on [his church's] giant-sized screen for people to come watch." Schuller said: "It's time for Protestants to go to the shepherd
[Pope] and say 'what do we have to do to come home?'" (11/15/87,
Calvary Contender ). When Schuller was planning for the building of his Crystal Cathedral, he made a special trip to Rome to ask the
Pope's blessing on the building plans.

Christ-honoring leaders of faith. ... I'm dreaming a bold impossible dream: that positive-thinking believers in God will rise above the illusions that our sectarian religions have imposed on the world, and that leaders of the major faiths will rise above doctrinal idiosyncrasies, choosing not to focus on disagreements, but rather to transcend divisive dogmas to work together to bring peace and prosperity and hope to the world...." p. 502

George W Bush meets Pope amid claims he might convert to Catholicism
By Malcolm Moore in Rome

George W Bush and Pope Benedict XVI have held an intimate meeting in Rome as rumours mounted in Italy that the president may follow in Tony Blair's footsteps and convert to Catholicism.
However, it is thought unlikely that Mr Bush would convert until after he has left office. Jeb Bush, the president's brother, has already converted to Catholicism.
Catholics have noted that during the contested election in 2000,
Jeb Bush travelled to Mexico and prayed to the icon of Our Lady of Guadelupe. His victory was announced by the Supreme Court on December 12, the feast day of the Lady of Guadelupe.

Americans: My Faith Isn't the Only Way to Heaven
Tuesday , June 24, 2008
America remains a nation of believers, but a new survey finds most
Americans don't feel their religion is the only way to eternal life — even if their faith tradition teaches otherwise.
Nearly across the board, the majority of religious Americans believe many religions can lead to eternal life: mainline Protestants (83 percent), members of historic black Protestant churches (59 percent), Roman Catholics (79 percent), Jews (82 percent) and
Muslims (56 percent).

GG: What do you believe?
OBAMA: I am a Christian. So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the
Christian faith.
On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of
Eastern influences. I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10. My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was
Muslim. And I'd say, probably, intellectually I've drawn as much from
Judaism as any other faith.
(Obama says he is a Christian, but one that is influenced by other religions. This is a recurrent theme. Obama either does not see or will not affirm that

So, I'm rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there's an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values
Saudi-sponsored interfaith meeting shows possibilities for the future
Tony Blair today praised a unique interfaith meeting in Madrid , which brought together representatives of many faiths inclosing Christians, Jews, Muslims and Buddhists, as having
"tremendous possibilities for the future."
The World Conference on Dialogue was organised by the Muslim
World League is a personal project of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, which gives it "huge significance", Mr Blair added.
King Abdullah, who is also the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of
Mecca and Medina, began the conference by telling delegates that he brought them a message from a meeting of Islamic leaders last month.
He said it was "a message that declares that Islam is the religion of moderation and tolerance, a message that calls for constructive dialogue among followers of religions, and a message that promises to open up a new page for mankind, in which concord will replace conflict".
Speaking at the conference, Mr Blair said that "it is of huge significance that the King of Saudi Arabia, who is after all the keeper of the Two Holy Mosques, so has a very particular place in the world of Islam, is launching this inter-faith dialogue and addressing a group of people that will include not just Christians, but Jews and people of other faiths as well.
"For many people round the world who are uncertain about what their relationship with Islam should be, who may often think that there are people within Islam who are hostile to those of other faiths who don't believe in peaceful co-existence - this conference is a very strong signal, from the top, that the true faith of Islam is about peaceful co-existence
"I think the whole point about it, and this is the reason for my
Foundation and the reason I believe so passionately in the inter-faith idea and why I think what the King of Saudi Arabia is doing is so important: The truth is the world today is pushing people together,
globalisation is pushing people together. If religious faith becomes a means of pulling them apart it becomes dangerous and divisive.
And actually what we have to learn therefore is peaceful coexistence."
MEDITERRANEAN UNION TO BE LAUNCHED
July 12, 2008
The EU Observer reports: “France will on Sunday (13 July) launch the Union for the Mediterranean – the brainchild of President Nicolas Sarkozy, which will bring together EU member states and a number of North African and
Middle East countries.
‘Do you know how moving it is for us to see the Arab heads of state sitting at the same table as the Israeli head of state, in a European capital?’ Mr.
Sarkozy told journalists on Thursday.
‘For me, the presence of all these European and Mediterranean heads of state in Paris in the name of Europe and the Mediterranean is something deeply moving and it's the best news for peace in the Middle East … I hope we will be able to note a number of advancements,’ he added.
But there is already skepticism about what the new union can achieve after the original most exclusive and grander vision by Mr. Sarkozy was watered down, predominantly at Berlin's behest.
In addition, up until the last minute, there was uncertainty over some leaders' attendance at the summit.
After much foot-dragging, Algeria and Turkey both finally confirmed this week that they will be present. But Jordan's King Abdullah has declined the invitation for personal reasons, while Libya's Muammar Gaddafi – who has called it ‘another Roman empire’ and spoken of its ‘imperialist design’ – will also not attend.
The Union for the Mediterranean was proposed by France last year to boost economic, political and cultural ties with the EU's southern neighbors …”
Obama promises to 'remake the world'
By: Mike Allen
July 24, 2008 04:04 PM EST
Addressing more than 200,000 elated Europeans massed in Berlin at twilight, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama promised Thursday that he would work to unite Christians, Muslims and Jews in a safer, more united world.
His 27-minute speech at the gold-topped Victory Column was interrupted by applause at least 30 times, with occasional audience chants of “O-ba-MA!”
Billed as a speech about Transatlantic relations, it turned out to be a manifesto for the planet, with an appeal to “the burdens of global citizenship.”
Local authorities said the crowd was more than 200,000 — triple Obama's previous record of 70,000 in Portland, Ore.
Reaching out to skeptics back home, he heralded “the dream of freedom” and declared firmly: “I love America.”
“People of Berlin, people of the world, this is our moment. This is our time,” he declared, offering himself “not as a candidate for president, but as a citizen, a proud citizen of the United States and a fellow citizen of the world.”
Obama’s speech, the centerpiece of his presidential-style sweep of the Middle East and Europe, set a global agenda as expansive and audacious as any contemplated by a candidate for United States president.
“In Europe, the view that America is part of what has gone wrong in our world, rather than a force to help us make it right, has become all too common,” he said. “Yes, there have been differences between America and
Europe.
“No doubt, there will be differences in the future. But the burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together,” Obama continued. “A change of leadership in Washington will not lift this burden. In this new century,
Americans a nd Europeans alike will be required to do more, not less.”
Invoking the fall of the Berlin Wall after the historic call by President Ronald
Reagan at the nearby Brandenburg Gate, Obama declared that the greatest danger now “is to allow new walls to divide us from one another.”
“The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand,” he said. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes, natives and immigrants,
Christians and Muslims and Jews cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down.”
In perhaps the most striking passage, Obama asserted: “I know my country has not perfected itself.”
“But I also know how much I love America,” he said. “We are a people of improbable hope. With an eye towards the future, with resolve in our heart, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again.”

Muslim-dominated nations at the United Nations are once again pushing a religious "antidefamation" plan that would bar worldwide all criticism of their founder Muhammad and his teaching.
According to a report by CNN's Lou Dobbs posted on YouTube, the proposal that has been repeatedly brought in recent years by the Organization of Islamic Conference states is expected to resurface as early as this spring.
This time, however, the resolution wouldn't allow nations to opt out.
"The United Nations has adopted what it calls a Resolution to
Combat Defamation of Religion," Dobbs said in the report. "The
U.N. now wants to make that anti-blasphemy resolution binding on member nations, including, of course, our own. That would make it a crime in the United States ... to criticize religion, in particular,
Islam."
The U.S. State Department also has found the proposal unpalatable.
" This resolution is incomplete inasmuch as it fails to address the situation of all religions," said a statement from Leonard Leo. "We believe that such inclusive language would have furthered the objective of promoting religious freedom. We also believe that any resolution on this topic must include mention of the need to change educational
