Overview
Our TOEFL course is designed to give you confidence in
both speaking and writing. The primary focus in this
course will revolve around the speaking and writing
sections of the iBT TOEFL. We will practice strategies to
earn good scores on the speaking prompts, explore
vocabulary that is needed to excel on the TOEFL, and
each week we ask that you complete one essay prompt
that will be graded and returned to you the next week.
By participating in this class you will also improve your
reading and listening as well.

Lesson objectives
Vocabulary is an important aspect for all four sections of
the exam. When reading, writing, listening and speaking
a rich vocabulary will help improve any student’s score.
Our objective in this course is not only to build your
vocabulary, but also help you learn how to properly use
these words. We also want to build your ability to
summarize passages. This skill will help you when you
are taking the iBT TOEFL as well.
Activities
Some of the activities provided in this course include
news article analysis, iBT TOEFL speaking, writing and
listening prompt review, vocabulary building activities,
essay structure review, paraphrasing activities, etc.
Keys to Remember
The iBT TOEFL is an exam that requires you to display
your ability to read, listen, speak and write in an
academic setting. In order to do so as a candidate for
this test it is important to build a strong vocabulary and
understand the templates for each section. Our goal is
to help you prepare for this exam and after working
with us and our program for a while we are confident
that you will be able to obtain your desired score.
