Under the Researcher Links scheme offered within the Newton Fund, the British Council
and the Thailand Research Fund will be holding a workshop on the above theme in
Bangkok on 8-11 February 2016. The workshop is being coordinated by Kasetsart
University and University of Manchester and will have contributions from other leading

covered by the Researcher Links programme. The application form, with more details
on the initiative, is attached and should be sent to parichat.h@ku.ac.th before the
deadline of 30 September 2015.
The four-day conference is intended for early-career researchers in Thai and UK
academic institutions (Post-Docs and within the first 10 years of their career). The
conference will provide participants with workshop-style feedback on their papers, offer
career guidance by senior researchers in the field and facilitate the building of Thai-UK
research collaborations. The keynote lectures will be given by 6 internationally reputed
researchers from UK and Thailand. These mentors will share their experience and
knowledge and remain in contact with the early career researchers after the workshop
has finished to share networks and contacts.
