You must be aged 15 years or older,
No longer at school,
Be a Queensland resident, ie an Australian citizen or permanently residing in Queensland or a New
Zealand citizen permanently residing in Queensland, and
Have not previously completed, or currently be studying for, a Certificate III level qualification or higher for the Certificate 3 Guarantee program (Certificate III qualifications completed at secondary school are
not counted) or a Certificate IV or higher level qualification for the Higher Level Skills program.
Students will no longer be eligible for a subsidised training place under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program once they have completed a Certificate 3 qualification the Higher Level Skills program once they have completed a Certificate IV or higher qualification.
Students will be required to complete a survey within 3 months of completion of (or withdrawal from) the course.
Australia City College is contracted by the Queensland Government Department of Education and Training (DET) to deliver the Certificate 3 Guarantee and Higher Level Skills Programs – a new investment model for the delivery of training to Queensland participants which will provide a Government Subsidy towards the training costs of eligible participants. Both funding programs require that all participating students make a small financial contribution to the cost of their training. ACC has determined that Concessional students will contribute $10/unit and Non-Concessional students will contribute $15/unit. The student can pay these fees unit by unit or as a lump sum at the commencement of the training.
