COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT, HONORS AND AWARDS
• UGA Ballroom Performance Group, 2011 to present. Selected through audition the group performs
around the state of Georgia and host bi-weekly Friday Night Dance Parties open to everyone. Before
each dance we provide a free dance lesson. Elected Public Relations officer for the 2012 to 2013 and
2013 to 2014 seasons. As PR director I create products that promote the health and social benefits of
ballroom dance such as plan events, flash mobs, social media, programs, flyers and the annual poster.
• UGA Ballroom Magic Dance Performances 2012, 2013, 2014. Performed various ballroom dance
styles at each of the sold out shows promoting ballroom dance to the Athens and Atlanta area
communities.
• UGA Georgette Dance Team, 2011 to present. Selected through audition to represent the
University of Georgia while performing with the Redcoat Marching Band during football games and
special events. The team also provides outreach by providing dance lessons and at special
appearances in Georgia and neighboring states.
• UGA Ballroom Dance Club 2011 to present. The club is a non-audition, social dancing organization
that host Sunday night lessons and dances, open to everyone. Will be project manager for future
1940s themed fundraising dance in support of the USO.
• ugaMiracle Dance Marathon, February 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 – raise funds for Children’s
Health Care of Atlanta. Lead a team in 2011 and 2012 and performed with Georgettes and
the Ballroom Performance Group in 2012, 2013 and 2014 to entertain the 24-hour marathon dancers.
• UGA Relay for Life, attended various UGA events from 2010 to present and performed with
the Georgettes at the walks in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Support Cancer awareness.
• UGA Bulldog Outreach to Nursing homes & Elderly - B.O.NE., 2011 to present. Once a semester

members visit with the residents to talk and provide entertainment. I play the flute in a musical duet.
Asian Children Mentoring Program, 2011 to present. The mentoring program provides a link to
Asian children who have been adopted by American families and provides opportunities to share their
Asian culture, such as hosting an annual Lunar New Year party.
Dance Athens, performed with the UGA Ballet Performance Group in 2010, the Georgettes and the
Ballroom Performance Group 2011 to present. Annual event to raise funds for charitable programs in
Athens.
UGA Countdown to Kickoff, performed with the Georgettes 2011 to present. Annual event in July
to raise funds for Children’s Health Care of Atlanta/Georgia Transplant Foundation.
Slingshot Athens Music Festival, 2013 to present student coordinator to assist assigned band with
their participation including transportation, hotel reservations, set-up and promotion, and then
volunteer as needed during the weekend event.
• UGA Shop with a Bulldawg, December 2010, 2011, 2012 – raise funds and take an in-need
child Christmas Shopping at a local department store with other University of Georgia students
followed by a luncheon for child and family.

UGA Alumni Association donor 2010 to present. Member to promote the benefits of attending the
University of Georgia. The Alumni Association provides various networking opportunities.
UGA Myers Community Council representative, 2010-2011. Selected to represent the Franklin
Residential College/Rutherford Hall at the monthly meetings to help plan social and academic events
and forward information to Rutherford Hall residents and Franklin Residential College members.
Georgia Collegiate Leadership Conference 2011, selected through application to represent UGAs
freshman class. I participated in classes and group seminars on team building and the importance of
servant leadership with other students from colleges around the state. I shared my experience with
Franklin Residential College members.
UGA Ballet Performance Group, 2010-2011. Selected through audition and performed at events
and dance concerts on UGA campus, in Athens and Atlanta area. Volunteered to teach ballet to
students in rural southern Georgia as part of the groups outreach program.
UGA Spring Dance Concert 2011. Performed with the UGA Ballet Performance Group.
UGA Senior Exit and Emerging Choreographer Dance Concert 2011. Selected through audition
to perform ballet in various student choreographed pieces.
Diavolo Dance Troupe, 2010. Selected through audition to participate in training and special
community performances at UGA with this visiting dance troupe from Los Angeles. Dance movement
style encompassed modern, acrobatics, and gymnastics.

Animal Shelter as part of living their message, “Imagine, Inspire and Impact.”
Dawg Camp Discovery 2010, a three-day retreat focused on the first-year experience, campus
involvement, leadership opportunities, history, and traditions of UGA. Provided the opportunity to
interact with student leaders as well as UGA faculty and staff members.
Dawg Camp Fusion 2010, during the week long program I learned about the history of Athens music
and musical venues, attended AthFest (a renowned local musical festival), visited the campus radio
station and interacted with different music groups. Learned about the Music Business Certificate.
