Physics Experience Points
Obtaining Points: The majority of experience points will be awarded by taking your grade on a particular
assessment and multiplying it by the factor indicated below:

Some additional experience points will be available throughout the year for various tasks or achievements.
Levels of Experience: As you accumulate points you will gain levels within the class. Each level gained affords
a minimum reward as indicated in the table below:

I will keep a running tally of your experience points and notify you when you gain a level. You may inquire any
time if you wish to know you’re current level and/or experience point total.
Penalties: It is possible to lose experience points. A list of penalty-worthy transgressions includes, but may
not be limited to:

Late to class
No calculator
No reference table
No notebook
Wasted work time
Late homework
Late labs
Using pen
Copied work
Penalties will be issued at the discretion of the teacher. You will be clearly notified when a penalty has been
imposed on your experience.
