hat a wonderful evening. The flowers are blooming, the air smells sweet, and I’ve just jumped
onto the top of a very high fence to watch the sun set. My tail keeps swooshing back and forth
like an old grandfather clock as the sun starts to peek out from behind the golden clouds. Wow.
The view is so beautiful that I wish my friends were here to watch it with me, but they’re probably still at
their dinner bowls enjoying their supper. Not me, I’d rather be right where I am, right here, right now,
watching this beautiful movie of nature. Speaking of nature, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about green
lily pads with purple flowers. I’m not sure why because it’s not normally something a cat would think
about, but I do nonetheless. I wonder if I would be able to sit on a lily pad without falling into the water?
That would be the greatest. I could sit atop the lily pad with my tail making the purple flowers wave in
the wind and just watch the frogs swim. Maybe I could even watch the sunset someday from a lily pad!
Maybe the frogs would be willing to come up and say hello once and a while. Surely they wouldn’t be
afraid of a harmless cat like me. Who would want to eat a slimy old frog, anyway? Not me. If it doesn’t
come from a can you can count me out. Well, the sun is getting pretty low now and a can of food does
sound awfully good. Maybe I’ll walk down this fence toward home and pretend I’m tip-toeing on lily
pads!
