• 1. Find a partner.
• 2. On p. 27 of your packet is a chart. When a slide is
revealed, on the left side of your chart, PREDICT the
Muslim contribution that the picture stands for.
• 2. After making predictions for slides A- O, examine a
folder from the front of the room and read more about a
Muslim contribution.
• 3. Record the actual contribution in the right column of
your chart and on a white board & present the info to the
class.
• 4. Record the info for each slide as they’re presented

Women in Islam
• 1. inheritance, ownership, accept/reject marriage, divorce,
keep her own name, vote, participate in public affairs,
education, career
• 2. Men carry marry other religions, get a bigger inheritance,
can have up to 4 wives, their court testimony is more
important, and can get a divorce easier. Also, wives must
obey them & they can seek out corporal punishment if
wanted
