Unit Overview of A Streetcar Named Desire
NOTE: The focus of this unit will be on developing an argument paper and demand writing.
1. Lecture: Introduction to Tennessee Williams.
2. Reading and Questions: You are responsible for reading the play, and completing the multiple
choice questions. These MC questions are designed to get you practicing your multiple choice
test taking strategies. Try to do them without using the text.
3. Class Discussions: Our discussions will be focussed on critical readings of the play.
4. Film: Review the film to add to the reading of the play; we will watch as we study the play.

to do some research on feminist theory. Your essay should support, refute, or qualify one of the
claims below.
