210 Movement Prep: The New Warm Up
Rick Richey
Movement Prep is seen as the "new" answer to the old warm-up for many progressive sports
performance coaches and trainers. Instead of simply getting on a treadmill or piece of cardio equipment,
movement prep is designed to go way beyond "getting the muscles warm" to prepare the body for the
workout you are about to do. Workouts with the addition of specific flexibility, activation circuits, and
dynamic motor pattern integration help to better prepare the body for heavier lifts, increased levels of
sports performance, and decrease the chances of injury. Get ready to learn and burn with a partial lecture
to address the rational, followed by practicing some techniques to prep the body for movement!

Steven Siemienski
With all of the information and a lot of misinformation that exists within the fitness industry, it is crucial for

numerous opposing views that are all “evidence-based”).
Let’s take a deep breath, ‘re-view’ what we currently think we know, and ask a few questions that will
include: What really is stretching? . . .What does Functional training even mean? . . . How specific (and

Pete McCall
Core training has emerged as a popular trend in the fitness world. How can a fitness professional use
core training as an effective tool for helping clients to achieve their goals? Traditional core exercises

prepare the muscles for the forces they will experience during upright, ground-based movement. Learn
techniques to design a core training program that prepares the body to produce, stabilize and control
force in a three-dimensional environment – the way the muscles have to work on a daily basis.

the strength, power and desires of your mind with the demands and potential of your body.
Originated in the heart of New York City, in 2000, The willPower Method poses the question, “what if you
