Four Faces of the Living Creatures, Part 3
Ezekiel 1 and 10. Four-faced living creatures transporting the Throne of God.
Revelation 4. Four-faced living creatures around the Throne of God in Heaven
Review:
I.
Representation of the four faces (Ez. 1:10; Rev. 4:7)
Man The connector between heaven and earth. The doorway for God’s wisdom.
Lion King, strength, power and ability to enforce Kingdom.
Ox
Creature of labor, carrying burdens, ploughing, standing in the gap.
Eagle Soars high, sweeps down to eliminate the enemy, powerful, renews with changing
seasons.
All four representations in Ezekiel’s life. He became the conduit through which God poured His
wisdom, he declared and demonstrated the Word of God, he stood in the gap for his nation, and
soared with God as he saw and declared the future. He was renewed and changed with the seasons as
he was taken from Israel into captivity. In the midst of the change he continued to declare the
government of God.
2.
Jesus life revealed how he stepped into each aspect and representation of the four faces:
Matthew
written to Jews, showing Jesus as Lion, Kingdom and power.
Mark
written to Romans, showing Jesus as Ox, serving, ministering and standing in the
gap.
Luke
written to the Greeks, showing Jesus as Son of Man, his humanity, being the
connector for God’s wisdom to establish Kingdom.
John
written to Christians, showing Jesus soaring like an eagle into the deeper truths.
Unity of the Four-Faced Beings.
Ezekiel 1:9-21
They were connected (their wings touched) – unity.
Each went where the Spirit directed, backed up by others – harmony.
They were like fire, like flashes of lightning – quick and powerful – lion.
They were connected to the Spirit and the Throne – man
They were covered as they moved – Ox
They moved quickly – Eagle
The four faces are spiritual representations as to how the Sons and Daughters
of the Kingdom are equipped and able to move in the affairs of man and
nations to establish God’s Kingdom.
The four faces were revealed in Ezekiel (and other prophets), they were revealed in Jesus and are
revealed in us and through us as we acknowledge who we are in Christ Jesus. The four faces give us a
point of reference to step into. They give us an understanding of how to move in unity. Every aspect
(gift) is needed to establish the Kingdom. We all function together. There is unity, harmony,
protection, Kingdom release and manifestation.
Philemon 1:6 [And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and
promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every
good [thing] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus [and unto His glory].

wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
