Transfer Eligibility Requirements
Admissions requirements vary
from institution to institution
and by major or program of
study.
•
There is no standard set of
admission requirements among
independent/private college and

In addition to setting its own unique
admission requirements, each
independent/private college or
university takes into consideration
the talents and academic promise of
each individual student..
Being competitivebeyond the minimum
• Complete English and Math requirements as
early as possible
• Whenever possible, focus on completing both
minimum admission requirements and major
preparation course work
• Complete all courses by end of spring semester
prior to transfer in the fall
• Apply to more than one independent/private
campus
• Be sure to visit the campus of your choice
• Meet with an Admissions Officer

Requirements
Out-of-state colleges and universities
establish their own admission
criteria and application
procedures.

Each has their own admission application,
and most of them offer online applications.
•
It is important that students wishing to
apply contact the colleges and universities
of interest to determine specific
requirements and deadlines.
•
For admissions requirements and
application information, go directly to the
college or university website.
