A family business is my business, I have a little
cut hair shop but I don’t cut hair. I only wash
hair and blow dry. My business is on a little
street and it has nice and beautiful pink light.
During the day I work in my little business and
at night I teach IELTS writing. I am
a colourful person and my little

• A family business that I know is my friend’s bar. It’s a
family run business that includes his whole family. They
opened this bar last year, It’s not a very big bar, my
friend is the bartender, his cousins are the servers and
his sister is in charge of the entertainment. Every night
there’s live bands that perform a wide range of music.
Sometimes there’s jazz, sometimes there’s rock and
even hip hop. They opened this bar because they
wanted to offer a place where local musicians and
bands can perform. It’s not a profit oriented business,
it’s more of a place that gives people a stage to show
their talents and bring people happiness through music.
I think it’s a wonderful thing because they are doing it
out of passion and not just for money. That’s really rare
in China now because everyone is so concerned about
making money that they lose their moral values. So this
is a family business that I know about and I respect.

• I like biology. Biology is very interesting. The teacher was
a very beautiful female teacher. I’m so happy she teach
me biology. I learned so many things, such as how I
become a person and I learn how to make people. I love
the class because the teacher and I do many
experiments, eh eh eh…it makes me sooooo happy.
• A science lesson that I have taken was my high school
chemistry class. Chemistry is a required course that all
students need to learn for them to graduate. Compared
to biology and physics, I think chemistry is relatively
easier for me. I’m pretty good at math so I can handle
all the calculations. The teacher was really nice and
really kind. He was an experienced male teacher and
I’m not a big fan of science but he made things a lot
easier for us. We learned about different chemicals and
chemical reactions. We learned about the chemical
components of many things. The most fascinating thing
were the experiments. The teacher gave us chances to
do chemistry experiments to make different types of
solutions. The experiments were really fun and I loved
the hands on experience. So for me, my high school
chemistry course really left a deep impression.
