ICE Training and Consultancy Ltd (ICE) was established to bring world-class cutting-edge training courses
to the local business community.
ICE is a private limited liability company incorporated and domiciled in Kenya with its principal activity
being the provision of specialized and dedicated training and professional services in marketing, tax,
accountancy and general business consultancy and advisory.
Currently the firm has two directors and several trainers and consultants in various professional
competencies,all who have extensive practical experience in marketing and general business practices in
the East African region having worked in several countries in the region. The experience of the
directors and consultants both in management and business practice delivers value to the business
community.
Our Specialty
ICE specializes in developing competence in individuals, teams and organizations, helping them cultivate
their abilities and their skills through professional training.
Our courses and services are current, incorporating the latest international standards, trends and
methodologies but for the local market.
Our training is PRACTICAL, hands-on, interactive and intensive. We use an outcomes-based, mentored
approach and our classes consist of lectures, group and individual exercises and case studies,
incorporating problem-based learning, debate and teamwork. Our class sizes are limited to facilitate
maximum learner / lecturer interaction and learners are also given reading and work-based assignments.
The course material is extensive and comprehensive, consisting of notes, exercises, references,
examples, useful templates and forms in electronic format.

The CAM Diploma qualifications are administered by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in the

3.3 Association of Business Executives
The Association of Business Executives (ABE) provides flexible professional business qualifications
which can lead to university or help in developing your career.
ABE offers Diplomas in Business Management (with additional pathways in Financial Management and
Management of Information Systems), Business Start-up and Entrepreneurship, Human Resource
Management, Marketing Management and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

3.3.1 Business Management (Level 4 to Level 7)
The Business Management programme, which is accredited by Ofqual, is a comprehensive and detailed
programme which covers the knowledge and skills required in modern business practice. The programme
will provide you with an appreciation of the theoretical issues involved in the study of business whilst also
helping you to develop a range of practical skills which will enhance your value to employers. Major topics
covered in the Business Management programme include management, marketing, economics and
accounting.
3.3.2 Managing Information Systems (Level 4 to Level 7)
Information is crucial to running a successful business. Technology now provides a range of information
systems, so a modern manager needs to understand the way they can be used to develop and control
the business.
ABE now offer a Management of Information Systems pathway within the Business Management
programme. The new pathway system allows greater flexibility for students, who now have the option to
achieve additional qualifications. The Management of Information Systems pathway contains three levels
of Ofqual accredited qualifications to improve your information management knowledge and skills.

3.5 Certified Public Accountants And Accountating Technicians Certifcate Examinations - KASNEB
3.5.1 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination
Only students registered with an accredited study centre are allowed to sit their examinations. The assessment,
evaluation and certification are carried out by the Association of Business Executives (UK). The exams are held every first
week of June and December each year.
The CPA examination is held twice yearly in June and December. The examination is divided into three parts of two
sections each. Each section consists of three papers. A candidate may attempt two sections in a part together or
separately in ascending order but before proceeding to the next part, a candidate must pass the lower part.
The examination is rigorous and standards are high and therefore a candidate is advised to devote approximately the
equivalent of eighteen months of full time study for each part of the examination. Ideally therefore, a
student should be able to complete the CPA examination in between four and a half and six years.

3.5.2 Accounting Technician Certificate (ATC) Examination
The ATC examination is held twice yearly in June and December. The examination is divided into two levels each
containing five papers, thus making a total of ten papers.
The examination serves two main purposes. Firstly, the ATC certificate provides a person with comprehensive and widely
recognized qualification which enables the holder to perform functions in an accounting, auditing, business or public office.
Secondly, it provides the holder with an opportunity for further progression in the professional ladder and other specialized
accountancy fields.

3.4 International Computer Driving License (ICDL)
The International Computer Driving License (ICDL) is the world’s leading end-user computer skills
certification program offering youth an internationally accredited certification at no cost. The program
raises candidates’ level of ICT and computer skills and increases their level of competency in using
personal computers and common computer applications. ICDL also improves job prospects by providing
an internationally recognized qualification.

Who is ICDL for?
ICDL is an information technology certificate for all citizens. It is intended for those who need to, or wish
to, know how to use a personal computer. It is suitable for people from every work discipline and for those
entering the job market and wish to have IT knowledge and skills in compliance with international
standards.

LBM Consulting ltd to help you conduct statutory audits as per the requirements of the Kenyan laws.
LBM Associates is an audit firm registered in Kenya for purposes of carrying out statutory audits for our clients.
The formation of LBM Associates was informed by the legal restrictions barring auditors from limiting their liability.
It was for this reason that forming and registering a non-limited liability entity in the form of a partnership business
with several affiliated partners, became a legal necessity and a business strategy.

Our Fees
I. Training
The fees structures for the courses we offer are available on our website www.ice.co.ke . Kindly note that
the fees are liable to change without us informing you prior to the change.
ii. Consultancy
Unless written agreement is reached to the contrary, our fees are based on the number and seniority of
staff required, the degree of skill and responsibility involved and the resources required to complete the
engagement. Our charges will be reviewed from time to time. We will also charge for any disbursements
incurred during the engagement and we will add VAT to charges if applicable. The proposed fee may be
changed upon prior agreement with management.
Any fee estimate agreed with you is necessarily based on the assumption that the information required
for our work is made available in accordance with agreed timetables, and that key executives and
personnel are available during the course of our work. If delays or other unanticipated problems which
are beyond our control occur this may result in additional fees for which invoices will be raised upon
prior discussion with management.
We will submit invoices for services provided and disbursements incurred on an interim basis as the
work progresses. Invoices are payable upon presentation
