Judging Criteria The winner of this category will be recognised as a company that has commercialised a software product. This may be a unique product or one that is built on an existing application or technology framework. The product may be hosted locally, in the cloud or delivered as software as a service. The software product must offer a clear value proposition to the customer and be shown to be unique or able to be clearly differentiated from the competition. The winner will either o have taken to market completely new and original IP and made the first sale within the last calendar year (2015), or o can demonstrate significant and unique further development (new IP) of an existing product — in the last calendar year (2015) — and made the first sale of the enhanced product within 2015. Entrants are expected to demonstrate how their software product positions the company for sustainable future growth and business success. Your company must be headquartered in New Zealand. NOTE – If your software: Is embedded in a hardware product or requires a specific hardware device to operate it should be entered in the Hardware category. Your entry must be submitted to the Hi-Tech Awards Ubiquity Entry Portal by 5.00pm, Monday 7th March 2016. If you do not receive acknowledgement that it has been received within 24 hours please email info@hitech.org.nz 2. The NZ Hi-Tech Trust reserves the right to reject any entry. 3. Your company must be headquartered in New Zealand. 4. Entrants must be available to take part in face-to-face panel judging on Wednesday 20th April 2016. 5. Your written entry must not exceed the stated word or character limit. 6. Entries in this category will be assessed by a joint panel of local and international judges. 7. All entries are received and judged in strict commercial confidence. Judges operate under a non-disclosure agreement and declare any conflict of interest prior to judging a category. Once entries close, the judges will receive a full list of entrants in their category to once again declare any conflicts of interests before receiving the actual entries. 8. All entrants are asked to attend one of the Entrants Cocktail events held simultaneously in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch on Wednesday 30th March 2016. All entrants are advised to ensure that they are available to attend the Awards Dinner to be held in Auckland at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre on Friday 20th May 2016. 9.
