questions they may have.
Wednesday
Learning Target: Students
will go more in-depth about
parent functions and
function transformation.
Independent Work:
Students will take a 20
minute quiz from section
them as well. They will
also begin to learn how to
graph linear equations.
Independent Work:
Students will be given a
dry-erase board and will
plot points and graph
lines on them. They will
also be given homework
over section 4.3.
Interactive Instruction: I
will direct the guided
practice and walk around
the room and help the
ones who are struggling
on either the guided
practice or the homework.
Closure: I will have them
place all of their materials
such as boards and
markers away and let
them know that to the
next day, we’ll be divided
into two groups (One
group with Me and the
other with her student
teacher).
Learning Target: Students
will have a better
understanding of linear
equations. They will be
able to graph them, find
the equation given two
points, and know the

will answer any question
they have from Tuesday’s
lesson, I will continue from
where we left off from
Tuesday’s lesson. The class
will do guided practice as I
walk around the room and
help as needed.
Closure: Students will be
given some practice
problems to do on their
own.
Thursday
Learning Target: Review
from sections 3.1-3.2.
Independent Work:
Students will do some
guided practice on section
3.2. Students will then get
into groups and play
Jeopardy for the remainder
of class to review for their
test for tomorrow.

relationships between two
lines when considering
slope.
Independent Work:
Students will do review
sheets using point slope
formula. Students will
work on their homework
assigned from yesterday.
Interactive Instruction:
One teacher will be with
one group and work on
point slope worksheet
while the other catches
the slower ones up and
help them complete their
homework.
Closure: The students will
reunite in the classroom,
put their calculators up,
and ask any questions
they may have before the
bell rings.
Learning Target: Students
will be able to translate
slope-intercept form into
standard form.
Independent Work:
Students will take the
worksheets from the day
before and consider the
slope intercept form and
convert them into
standard form.
Learning Target:
Students will review
progress report and work
on their independent
assignments.
will pass out a study guide
for Friday’s test. I will
review the study guide with
them. We will do a quick
review of parent functions
and then play Jeopardy!
Closure: Since they’re
playing Jeopardy on mini
dry-erase boards, I’ll have
the students clear their
boards and put all their
materials away.
Friday
Learning Target: Section 3.13.2 test. After the test, I will
introduce 3.3

One group of students will
be with one teacher and
the other students will be
with the other like the day
before but the teachers
will swap groups. The
teachers will walk around
the room and help as
needed through guided
practice. This will also be
a review for tomorrow’s
quiz.
Closure: Learning Target:
Let the students know
what the quiz will be
worth and encourage
them to study and since
today is our day for
tutoring, we will
encourage them to come
to tutoring after school if
needed.
Learning Target: Section
4.1-4.3 quiz.
Independent Work:
Students will take their 4.3
quiz. Today, the line of
best fit will be introduced.
They will measure their
height and their forearms
and take the data and
make a scatterplot with it.

Closure: I will get into 3.3 as
much as I can and the class
will be dismissed when the
bell rings and I will wish
them a good weekend!
will observe the students
while they take their quiz.
I will also lecture on
inequalities. We will also
begin the line of best fit
lesson.
Closure: I will have them
try to complete as much
of the activity as possible
so we can finish on
Monday. As they leave, I
will wish them a good
