Aim: How can I construct a better understanding of my classmates? Our class will be more fun if we get to know each other. To help further this goal, you are going to be in charge of introducing a person to the class. Your mission is to learn all you can about your assigned partner through an interview. Your questions should be appropriate, of course, but designed to give us a fairly well rounded picture of your “presentee.” Aim: How can I construct a better understanding of my classmates? After an in class interview session, as homework you will prepare a picture collage which represents the person. This collage will be given to them as a gift after you have used it to introduce your partner to the class. You will submit your interview questions/answers as part of the product. This should be on looseleaf paper or typed. Aim: How can I construct a better understanding of my classmates? Be mindful to put time and quality into your collage; your presentee will keep it and should be pleased to have it. Their name is the title. Use various textures and colors to make the collage more visually appealing. You may create the collage in a variety of ways: cut-out pictures from magazines, printed pictures from the internet, drawings, symbols, favorite colors, a phrase or a word that is meaningful and pertinent, etc. Your person may even have photos you could include on the collage. Aim: How can I construct a better understanding of my classmates? Mount the collage on poster board of any color no smaller than a half-sheet regular poster board but no larger than a full-sheet regular poster board. The shape of finished collage should NOT be square or rectangle! Be creative with this assignment! Make it visually pleasing to the eye as well as meaningful to the person it represents. Create something they will want to save. (If you have an idea more creative than poster board, see me to clear the idea.) Aim: How can I construct a better understanding of my classmates? Why or why not?
