£22,000 pa pro-rata

Job Summary:
To support the Advice and Volunteer Manager in administering and
developing the NCLS Family Court Support Service; provide support and
casework for litigants in person in private law child contact matters; administer
the Court Desk Service and co-ordinate the team of volunteers who support
this service.
Responsibilities:
To support the Advice and Volunteer Manager in:
 Delivering the Family Court Support Service and the Family Court Desk
Service
 Providing advice, and support and casework for litigants in person
(LIPS) in the Norwich courts in the context of local and national
initiatives.
 Recruiting, training and managing volunteers,
 Monitoring and evaluating the service, producing reports as and when
required
 Advertising and promoting the service
To be responsible for:
 Producing the rota for court desk cover
 Allocating casework to staff and volunteers
 Managing a personal caseload
 Overseeing maintenance of all files for this service
 Developing the service toolkits, pro formas, etc.
 Recording all casework on the Lamplight data base system
 Providing support and supervision for volunteers including file reviews
 Maintaining volunteer files in relation the Family Court Support Service
General Duties
 To maintain a duty of confidentiality in respect of all client matters at all
times
 To abide by the NCLS Equal Opportunities policy and to implement any
relevant practice guidelines
 To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as per the
requirements of the Chief Executive Officer and the NCLS Board
 To work to the Quality Mark Casework standard
Special Considerations
 To attend such training as is required for the role
 Some travel in and beyond Norfolk
 Occasional evening and weekend work
The above may be subject to alteration from time to time according to any
changes in service delivery, politics or priorities. As such, changes will be
carried out following consultation with all parties involved
