education courses of Design and Sewing camps in August! If
you know of someone with a creative bent looking to make
their way in the world of fashion this will give them exposure
to gain sewing and design skills. Please check the information
below for details on the course descriptions and details.
New Mathematics and Physics degrees Info Sessions
The B.Sc. Major in Physics for Modern Technology is a new type of
physics degree in Canada.
Physics is a major driving force behind the development of new
technology, and in turn, new technologies allow scientists to push forward
the boundaries of knowledge. The relationship is symbiotic, so this
program is aimed at those who have an interest both in fundamental
science and in the practical application of that science in an industrial
and/or laboratory setting. As well as studying physics, students will gain
technical skills that are highly relevant to work in local industry.
Mathematics: In the BSc in Applications of Mathematics
program, traditional mathematics coursework is combined with
courses that allow students to apply their mathematical skills in
diverse fields, providing a broad range of options for careers or
further education. The mathematical and computational skills
developed by students who complete a credential in Applications
of Mathematics will enhance their employability in careers that
require strong numeracy skills, as well as their suitability for
admission to graduate or professional schools.
