Since its inception in 2000 the program has impacted the lives of almost 200,000 across India. In addition, TCS India has worked extensively in the health sector, providing: Integrated hospital management systems, clinical lab equipment integration, and cancer registries at the Cancer Institute in Chennai National retina disease registry system for Retina India Foundation Patient care system for Operation Smile – an international NGO that provides free surgery for cleft lips, palates, and other facial deformities Donor management systems for organisations such as Impact India Foundation (focused on supporting people with disabilities), Childline India Foundation (focused on the rights and protection of children), and Mumbai Mobile Crèches (child care).
