Understand the landscape (e.g. receptiveness to IEEE standards). Customize deliverables Version 1.0 IEEE SEC February IEEE P802.3 Maintenance report –2012 July 2008 Plenary Page 33 Page Phases Summary • Phase 1: Early engagement – Input: New region from SEC – Characteristics: New region to focus on. Limited prior engagements and partnerships – Deliverables (exit condition to next phase) include: • • • • Build relationships Matrix: Build out sample matrix to region custom matrix Landscape: Understand the general landscape and its effect on deliverables / matrix Goals: Define deliverables (e.g. X relationships) per matrix and landscape – E.g. would be Middle East and Africa • Phase 2: Growth – Input: Phase 1 completion – Characteristics: Region that we have been focusing on however more work needs to be done. – Deliverables (exit condition to next phase) include: • cultivating existing relationships • Reaching goal targets defined in phase 1 – E.g. would be USA, India, China, (Germany?) • Phase 3: Maintenance – Characteristics: Strong relationships / partners in place.
