Dear Kids,
The Summer Vacations are around the corner! It is a good time to strengthen your strengths and work on your weak areas
so that they too become your strengths! Spend time with your grandparents and hear lots of stories from them!
FITNESS:
Physical activity makes you sharp and smart. Indulge in swimming, cycling, running, riding as much
as possible. That should take care of your extra bouncing energy.
Settle your room, lay the table and water the plants etc. Learn to make fruit cream and serve to your family.
HELPING
AROUND:
Drink lots of water and eat salads. Enjoy the different varieties of summer fruits offered by Mother Nature.

1. Read any story book. … Tom Sawyer or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and write a summary of the
same on a drawing sheet with a picture drawn over it.
2. Compose a poem of 4 stanzas of 4 lines each alongwith a suitable title for Literary Week in July using
any 4 rhyming scheme given. You can use your own rhyming scheme also: day, away ; gale, pale ; goes,
knows ; tear, cheer ; lands, hands; pains, gains; while, smile; none, begun ; tweet, sweet (in English PC)
For active participation in the Leadership Week select any 2 topics from each of the columns given below.(in English PC)

Project: Consolidate the following in the scrap book:
a) Make a Herbarium using 5 different types of dry flowers and 10 different types of dry leaves.
For making leaves and flowers dry, follow the following steps:
i) Collect the flowers and leaves that have freshly fallen down from plants.
ii) Spread those flowers and leaves neatly in between the sheets of newspaper.
iii) Put a heavy object on the news paper.
iv) Leave it for 10-12 days.
v) Take out the dry flowers and leaves carefully and make the Herbarium.Write the name of the plant /
flower
a) Download information from the internet (www.wekipidia.com ) or from any other source on Extinct
animals eg dinosaurs etc.( 3 animals) and write 8 sentences on each alongwith their pictures.
