Enrichment Opportunities

I will provide an “outside of school” opportunity for your child to explore further the topic we are studying in Science.

Family Science Projects are completed at home. Think of these as

“mini” science fair projects. Students create projects, posters, or demonstrations to show what they have learned during our 10 week unit of study. Packets come home 2 weeks before the due date and are presented to the class.

Projects are optional and count towards effort and participation on the report card.

Homework

Homework will come home in a packet on Mondays

The Front page will be a reading log for the week

15-20 minutes of reading should be done at least M-F if not daily

Homework should reflect and review what we have worked on in class focusing mostly on spelling

Homework should take no more than 30 minutes to complete

Your child should be able to complete the work independently

Homework is due by Friday of each week

Please ensure that your child has a quiet work space with needed supplies. By 2 nd grade a desk is a good idea!
