AP Biology Discussion Notes
Monday 4/27/2015
2 weeks until the AP TEST!!!
Goals for the Day
• Understand how we influence the
environment & organisms around us
• Be able to tie together multiple
disciplines in biology
Question of the Day
4/27
• The basic unit of structure and function
in living things is the __________.
Question of the Day
4/27
• The basic unit of structure and function in
living things is the __________.
• CELLS of course, but don’t forget about how
cells are related to FUNCTION as well as
structure.
• If we change the structure of the cell we will
change the function
• Since all cells have DNA it is a difference in
GENE EXPRESSION that lead to different
kinds of cells, and therefore different kinds of
cellular functions.

monkey species?
