Faith, religion and belief at College
RNIB College Loughborough has a diverse community of people from
many different cultures and faiths. The College actively supports people
to observe their faith, religion or belief during their time at College. There
are 7 major world faiths, religions or beliefs that we support in our
College and we will endeavour to support people of any other faith,
religion, belief or no belief.
Faith and reflection room
The College has a Faith and Reflection Room which can be used by
groups or individuals for prayer, meditation, reflection or contemplation.
The room contains books and artefacts that will support observance of
the faiths, religions or beliefs listed above. Details of local support and
religious groups, churches, mosques, temples and other places of
religious assembly are also provided in this room.
You do not have to follow a faith, religion or belief to use this room.
 The College’s Faith and Reflection Room provides a quiet and
tranquil space suitable for contemplation, meditation, prayer or
reflection.
 Our Faith and Reflection Room has been designed by learners for
their own use as well as use by staff and visitors to the College.
 Information, in print and in braille, is available in the Faith and
Reflection Room.
 The room has a radio with a CD player and docking station for
learners to bring their own music. Some CDs are provided in this
room.
College chaplain
The Loughborough University Chaplaincy team supports everyone,
whether they are a practising member of one of the world faiths or not.
They help learners deal with questions about religion or belief, faith and
spirituality or they can just be someone to talk to.
