Terms and Conditions for Teachers
The teacher/candidate (herewith to be referred to as candidate) will agree to all of the following
terms and conditions before registering with The International Education Group (herewith to be
referred to as IEG or the International Education Group), having access to the IEG website and
using any and all IEG documentation.
The IEG website and all documentation pertaining to IEG will allow the candidate access to
candidate information, recruitment fair details, the vacancy database and selected client
confidential information (herewith client refers to teachers, schools, corporate companies,
trainers, sponsors, parents and any other person using IEG’s services). All details of each
candidate visit to the website are recorded and automatically sent to the appropriate Managing
Director/administrator, so that we are able to maintain permanent records of all activity on our
site. In order to gain access to our site, databases and information, the candidate must agree to
the following:

 The IEG logo, publicity materials and all documentation pertaining to IEG are the property
of IEG and candidates may not copy, download or use them in any way.
 IEG implements a ‘word as bond’ policy.
 Registration refunds will be made only within the first 30 days following initial payment.
 If the candidate receives, as a result of any information gained through any means of
communication with IEG in any form, a written or verbal offer of a contract (including
offers by telephone, email, fax or any other means of communication), and if the
candidate accepts this offer in writing, verbally, by telephone, email, fax, or any other
means of communication, the candidate agrees that their commitment is binding to the
school and IEG.
 The candidate understands that IEG has screened the schools it works with and assures
these schools that IEG candidates will act with honour and integrity in all of their
agreements. Thus, the candidate agrees that they will carefully consider all offers
made to them, and will not accept one unless they fully intend to honour their
commitment. If they subsequently fail to honour a verbal or written agreement, letter of
intent, or contract, noting that The International Education Group and all international
schools feel strongly that any verbal or written employment agreement must be
honoured, then the candidate agrees to pay the full placement fee to The International
Education Group or to the school.
 Should they renege on a contract before arriving at the school, they will pay the full costs
to IEG.
 If they resign before completing a contract, but AFTER having begun employment at the
school, they will pay these costs directly to the school before departure. Furthermore,

they understand that if they renege on a contract or do not complete a full contract, The
International Education Group will no longer represent their candidacy, and will also
notify other recruitment agencies of their actions.
 If, through the candidate’s actions, any additional costs, legal costs, interest payments or
similar costs are incurred, the candidate is responsible for these and will reimburse
these costs to IEG.
 The candidate understands that if they are interviewed for the same post at two different
fairs, and is subsequently offered the position, IEG will invoice the school.
 The candidate agrees that if they are contacted by a school on the IEG database, or if
they contact a school on the IEG database, or respond to any information received in
any form from IEG such as the IEG website, daily job bulletins, by email or any other
way, the candidate will identify themselves as an IEG candidate and will copy all
information/contact to an IEG agent.
 If a candidate becomes aware of a vacancy on the IEG website, the candidate is not
permitted to share this information with anyone who is not an IEG member and if the
candidate subsequently contacts the school and is employed by that school, this
constitutes an IEG placement.
 If a candidate is offered any position by any IEG school, advertised or not, this constitutes
and IEG placement and IEG must be informed in writing.
 The candidate agrees that if a school approaches them regarding a position that has
been advertised with IEG and/or they have received the candidate’s information
through any form of communication with IEG, including adverts, this constitutes an IEG
placement and all fess are payable to IEG.
 ITS IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT ALL SCHOOL/CANDIDATE AND SPONSOR
ACTIVITY ON OUR WEBSITE IS RECORDED AND CHECKED REGULARLY BY IEG
AGENTS AND STAFF. WE KEEP THIS INFORMATION PERMANENTLY.
 The candidate will not share any vacancy information on the IEG site or communications
with any other person.
 The candidate will not give their username, password or access to the site to any other
person.
 The candidate agrees to notify IEG WITHIN 48 HOURS OR SOONER if accepting any
verbal or written offer of employment. The candidate will also provide the name,
location and person at the school who has offered this employment. The candidate will
do this regardless of whether or not the offer has come from an IEG registered
school. IEG must have this information so as we do not put the candidate’s name
forward for other positions.
 On accepting any position, the candidate will immediately alter their profile on the IEG
website indicating they are no longer available and indicating the length of contract
they have accepted.
 If a candidate’s spouse/partner/significant other should be offered a position with the
same school within a 13 month time frame, the candidate will inform IEG immediately
as this constitutes an IEG placement.

 The candidate understands that the completion of this form and any other IEG
documentation does not assure acceptance as an IEG candidate nor as a participant at
IEG job fairs.
 The candidate understands that acceptance to one recruitment fair does not convey
acceptance to all recruitment fairs. The candidate must apply for each recruitment fair
on an individual basis.
 If the candidate’s web status is not updated, or if the candidate does not log in for 60 or
more days, or if the candidate does not respond to IEG communications within 48
hours, IEG reserves the right to suspend the candidate’s access to the IEG website
and all information therein. IEG reserves the right to decide whether a candidate’s
profile will be reactivated or if the candidate has to reapply to IEG.
 The candidate will pay the IEG annual subscription costs until such time as they cancel
their membership with IEG. Annual subscriptions will not be refunded unless the
candidate has cancelled their subscription and IEG collects payment after that date, in
which case a full refund will be given.
 It is the candidate’s responsibility to read all documentation on the IEG website which
pertains to costs payable by the candidate.
 IEG is authorised to release the candidate’s profile to schools/organisations who are also
IEG members. This includes reference letters, police checks and any other
documentation as requested by IEG.
I understand that if I knowingly submit and false or inaccurate information, IEG reserves the right
to deny me membership to IEG. If IEG becomes aware of any discrepancies after I have been
placed, the school and IEG reserve the right to make null and void my contract and
membership. I may also have to reimburse the school and IEG of any costs they have incurred.
If any information I have submitted does prove inaccurate, I understand that IEG will investigate
before taking any action as outlined above.
By accepting the Terms and Conditions and submitting all of the requested information and
accessing the IEG website, I certify that all information given by me and all statements made by
me are true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that IEG will verify the
information I have given and I agree to abide by the clauses laid out above.
