Food Webs
Objective: I will be able to
use my knowledge of
biomes to create a food
web poster.
Step 1
• You and a partner will be creating
a poster of a food web.
• You will be working with a
particular biome.
• You will be assigned a particular
biome based on the following map.
This will help you determine the
plants and animals located in your
biome.
Step 2
• Divide your poster paper into 3
sections
Draw your Food web in the center section
of your poster paper.(You can put just the
words)
Step 4
• You will add organisms that live in
the that biome.
• Make sure to include plants and
animals.
Add the labels on the other
sections.

Carnivores
Omnivores
Add arrows to your food web. Remember to
point them in the directions of the energy
flow.

List 3 food chains that are found in the
food web.

Step 10
• After completing your food web, you
will receive a card with a scenario.
• On a separate piece of paper,
describe what would happen to your
environment and food web based on
that scenario. Be sure to include all
abiotic and biotic factors that would
be included in the biome and how
they would be affected by the
disaster.
Oil Spill
Heavy Rain
Fire
Plant Species is
infected with a
deadly bacterium
A new predator of
primary consumers
is introduced into
the ecosystem
