charges. Worked with Juran team to improve accuracy of quantity-per data in the MRP

Have worked since inception with the DMAPS/DIFMS suite of Maintenance Cost Accounting
Systems, including GAFS-BL(BQ), DFAS EDA, Wide Area Workflow, and material supply
systems.

Implemented a new Air Force policy that receivables would be "aged" on the balance sheet.
The difficulty was augmented with tracking hundreds of contract line items and subtotals
that supported the general ledger balance in accounts receivable. Researched existing
programs that tracked and aged receivables. Selected a database application that provided
the greatest flexibility and integrity. Coordinated efforts with a computer manager resulting
in a user friendly program revised to print out monthly subtotals for each classification and
to provide other necessary documents. This was accomplished in only two months.

Analyzed the procedure of correlating Federal Tax Deposit (FTD) Coupons sent to the IRS
with transactions at the federal reserve banks. This process required a technician to spend
2-4 hours daily. Recommended that the computer tracking FTD Coupons only report those
correlations that did not match. This reduced the technician's time commitment and saved
the IRS $88 per day in each of the 5 regional centers. I received an award for this
recommendation.

Converted hand written journal vouchers to macro-driven Lotus files. The Lotus macros
prompted for data and reduced errors in vouchers from about 10% to zero. Legibility
improved to 100% and over 95% of the reports were on time, an improvement from
approximately 80% previously.

Developed a system of Lotus macros to handle "vendor credit memos", a commissary
bookkeeping listing for goods returned to a vendor by the commissary .Previously
reconciliation of the commissary bookkeeping records with Accounting's records would
take a minimum of two days. Now the monthly reconciliation is accomplished in a couple of
hours, with improved control and faster payment of the net payables.

Maintained Ask Data3 ( MRP II system ) on AS400 computer. Validated routings, bills of
materials, and product structures. Performed progressive cost analysis of overhead applied
during each step of the routing. Wrote and executed queries for system analysis.
Downloaded data for analysis and reconciliation.
Comfortable with PC based general ledger systems as well as
McCormack and Dodge and Software 2000 general ledger systems.
