Submission Procedure:
• All entrants must complete this entry form and return by October 14th to:
irisharchitecturefoundation@yahoo.ie
* Join Flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/ohd_photocomp_2013/
• Photographs should be uploaded to the Flickr group pool between 10am Tuesday October 8th and
5pm Monday October 14th, 2013. Photos will not be accepted via any other means, e.g. mail or fax.
Please note you will need to join flickr, then join the group above to load photos.
• Parents or legal guardians must fill out and sign an entry form for entrants under the age of 18 in
order to be eligible and return by October 14th .
• The competition is limited to photographs of buildings in the Open House Dublin 2013 programme.
• The theme of the competition is “100 Great Buildings, from the obvious to the overlooked”, the
same as the theme of this year’s Open House Dublin 2013 programme.
• Submissions are limited to 3 images per person, in total.
• Images must be submitted with titles in this format: LOCATION_DATE_YOURNAME
• Your image/s will be removed if an entry form is not received by 5pm Monday October 14th, and
will not be valid for the competition.
• Image file size should not exceed 3MB. Photos must be submitted in JPEG format only.
(Suggestion: keep your higher resolution files of entries, in case we get press requests for images.
Rules:
• Acceptance of Rules: By entering, each entrant and the entrant’s parent or legal guardian accepts
and agrees to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Irish Architecture Foundation which shall
be final and binding in all respects.
• Employees of of Irish Architecture Foundation are not eligible.
• Entries will be judged on 3 criteria: creativity, quality of photograph and relevance to the theme.
• No responsibility is accepted for incomplete entries due to internet or mail provider malfunctions
or other causes beyond our control.
• Prize-winning entries will be chosen by our panel of judges. The judges’ decision is final and no
further correspondence will be entered into.
• The IAF reserves the right to select featured photos including daily featured photographs to be
promoted on IAF social media and publications.
• The entrant guarantees that (s)he is the sole owner of the work and that the work does not
infringe any copyright, violate any other property rights, contain any scandalous, libelous, or
unlawful matter, or make any improper invasion to the privacy of any person; that the work has not
as a whole heretofore been published; that (s)he is the sole and exclusive owner of the rights.
• All entrants agree that their name and images can be displayed on Irish Architecture Foundation,
Open House Dublin publications including websites, marketing and advertising without charge or
notice. By entering the competition you have confirmed this authorisation. Images will not be
displayed in any other way without the permission of the artist, and all entrants retain copyright for
all images submitted. The Irish Architecture Foundation will credit the photographer on each
occasion of usage.
• Parental Consent Required for entrants under the age of 18. If an entrant is under the age of 18 a
parent or legal guardian must sign and return the entry form on their behalf. By participating in the
contest, each winner’s parent or legal guardian consents to the use of his/her child’s name and/or
photograph for advertising and publicity purposes. Rules are subject to the requirements of the Irish
Architecture Foundation’s Child Protection Policy.
• Winners will be notified by email within 30 days of the end of the competition and announced in
Irish Architecture Foundation’s e-newsletter. Winners’ names and images will be posted on Irish
Architecture Foundation website within 60 days of the end of the competition.
“I have read the competition rules and accept and agree to abide by them and the decisions of Irish
Architecture Foundation which shall be final and binding in all respects.”
